How come women are so bitchy when they have their period??

No, not really. Just one of those things that incenses me. I think that kind of talk should be as unwelcome around these parts as jokes about beating women. And when a person deserves to be called a bitch, as you put it, why SHOULDN'T someone oblige them? But I said "bitchy". It's significantly less offensive than when you omit the "y".

if you must get that point across...why cant you think of a better word? crabby, cranky, moody...

those dont bother me as i realize everyone gets crabby. bitchy is irritating to be called when youre in a bad mood...it just is.

 

GOD FORBID i should mention that dave is cranky when he's cranky. all hell will break loose. i'm a pretty chipper, cheerful person 99% of the time. so when i get cranky, dave gets really pissed, like i'm in need of discipline. WTF? one of those things we're having to deal with.

 

Personally, I feel that we are more than entitled to the right to be "bitchy" during that time of that month, considering what many of us have to deal with on a daily basis!

I am not afraid to admit that I turn into a raging witch that time of month, and my husband gets a kick out of it for some bizarre reason!

 

Well, I still think it's less offensive that calling someone an outright bitch, but maybe I was thinking more of "bitching", as in "Quit your bitching!" Lol. For some reason the use of that particular word in the "bitch" family was commonplace in my household growing up. If I would complain about something my mom would say, "oh, bitch bitch bitch!". God help us if we ever actually called someone a bitch around her, though.

 

My boyfriend says I'm in too much pain to ever be bitchy. I'm always just uncomfortable and achy. No time to bitch! But anyway I think this topic just shows how immature some people are and hopefully they will grow up sometime. But I realize some never do. Also I have noticed with some guys that they seem to turn into bitches at certain times of the month as well. But you really have to look at the individual and stop trying to categorize people. For instance with my mom no one could ever tell she was on her period because she acts normal, my aunt acts sad and tired, one of my friends does get very bitchy, and I am just moaning in constant pain. lol

We are individuals. Think of us in that way and you will get farther than you ever could trying to group us into one person.
