Either this summer, or next summer, me and my big brother are planning on driving across the country. We might start just here in SK because I've never been anywhere east of the province.
So I was wondering, how long would it probably take to drive across Canada (probably to as eastern as you can go) from SK?

I'd guess about 4 or 5 days. Maybe.

my family and I drove from S'toon to an island in BC in about 3 days, but with numerous stops and such. I don't know how long it would take if you're going as fast as possible, or if you guys wanted to stop and take in some of the sites.

you can drive from Regina to Vancouver in 26 hours, straight through... stopping only for gas and coffee. Take the distance, divide it by the hours.. and then take the number you get and divide it by the number of km east you want to go. You will be left with time in hours.

my dad is a math teacher... can you tell?

if you are going as far east as possible i take it you are going to end up in st john's ......from the time you get off the ferry you have 880km or 550 miles to drive to get there unless you go via argentia ..don't ..you'd miss some nice scenery ...from toronto to north sydney ,n.s is a minimum 23 hours of driving..the newfoundland ferry is at north sydney.

lol, I guess we drove slowly on that trip before :p c'est la vie. Give yourself an extra day or two so you can visit the sights though, because the scenic route is much more fun.

If you're more towards the west side of Saskatchewan it takes about one day to make it just into Ontario. From there Ontario takes one to two days depending on how far you made it the first day. If you're going to Nova Scotia it takes atleast two days. If you're going to Newfoundland I wouldn't know cuz I've never gone up that way before.

In short a four day minimum would be a good estimate though that's only if you just drive and don't stop, which is never very fun. If you've got the time just sort of wander eastward it's more fun that way.

I think you're looking at a week + to go from one end of the country to the other at a leisurely pace. My uncle would drive from Toronto to Vancouver in 5 days, but it wasn't non-stop, and I'm sure he's too old to speed the whole way....
