ok... my computers at school have certain websites blocked. you know, like hotmail.com, mp3.com and (shock horror) hipforums.com i've tried going to hipforums through different URLs but the actual word "hipforums" seems to be blocked. and i have no idea why. anyway, how do i go about creating a URL that gets here but doesnt contain the word "hipforums"? is that possible?
If it's just blocking the Domain name and not the actual address you could just use hipforums IP addy 217.115.197.139 No filter is that hard to get around if you really want around it
Are you running xp pro at home? You could set up remote desktop on your home pc and browse remotely that way.
If they have a url filter that is blocking the word 'hipforums' in URI's then your pretty much SOL with obfuscation url tricks, as all the links on here to navigate will link you to 'hipforums' links....you can get aroudn this by using a proxy server...try http://www.megaproxy.com
Knock out the administrator when nobody's looking and steal his or her password and username. Then take embarrasing photos so whoever it is will be too afraid to report anything, lest pictures be spread around the Internet. Then just unblock Hipforums. Simple.
You might be able to substitute the straight IP address, or a decimal URL. A site for generating a decimal address from a standard URL is: http://x42.com/active/ip32.mpl
