WE have had a repeat offender down in the kitchen for the last several months. WE have assumed it was a bear but weren't entirely positive since it only ever pilfered the marshmallows. It would always leave a messy trail about the kitchen but everything else down there was left there... Once again today i went down to get a couple things we left down there monday when we left for work and lo and behold the lil booger had struck again... WE have had a bunch of rain here lately and the clay from the rootcellar we have thrown to the sides was quite squishy... I followed cabbage and a stick trail (un eatten) and here is what i found... hhb's toes (on the right ) so obviously a baby bear the cupboard it knocked down in order to get to his zoo zoo'z... and that friends is one busted lil marshmallow thievin, spoilt rotten lil nuisance bears paw! Yes we know by leaving things down in the kitchen n not locked in a bear box we are inviting him here.... twas a kewl pic day today.... this is where we worked in babble-on today... the hiwassee river banks in murphy nc....
reckin ya could marshmallow train a freshened bear cub?? hell he seems to like um,, or aint figured out how to get into the honey yet one??? hmm,, lil pesky bastard...
ok after last night bear wins,,, lil shits brave came up to the kitchen with us in our tent not 50 feet away and had him a feast of baked beans,taters and bacon sourcream butter,an leftover pork tenderloin,,oh an a soda.. SOOOOOOOOOOO,, time to rig up a pulley system for all our food down there,, guess we knew better but hey,, who likes caterin to a bear more than us??
naaa,, we just took a nice plaster of paris cast of his foot print,, not the best,, but hey we can keep track of his growth over the years with it anyway...
