What brand of tampon do you use? I use Tampax Pearl, which is actually pretty comfortable (comfortable enough that I often forget I'm wearing it), but I was kinda wondering if there is a cheaper brand out there that is still comfortable.

I don't use tampons.. My periods only last for 3 days and it's usually a very light flow (sometimes the second day can be a little heavy) so I only use a very thin pad/liner.. I used to have a gf whose mother had to wear 2 pads and a tampon.. I couldn't imagine.. Sorry I wasn't any help, I just wanted to post anyway :p

I use Playtex Beyond. I'm a huge fan of cardboard applicators so these are great, plus they're easy to find in a super plus, which I really need. Usually I pay about $3.99 for them, but I sometimes find some good store brands too.

Unfortunately I'm really heavy so the super plus only lasts about an hour and a half, so I also use Stayfree pads sometimes.

I only use cardboard applicators...any kind of brand as long as they are cardboard. More environmentally friendly, as they are biodegradable...tampax pearl's applicators are plastic and aren't biodegradable.

I use OB with no applicator. Cheaper, and less garbage. No applicator to worry about biodegrading or not.

I use OB too. For a long time they were the main tampon brand in germany, and applicators never were popular. Just in the last 2 or three years I have seen some other brands in stores that have them.

I use 'Libra', not sure if thats an aussie Brand, but theyre the best, neatest tampon have ever found / used. They dont come with an applicator, but I find those waaay clumsy anyway..

'Cottons' are meant to have less chemicals in them, but I havent tried them..

'De Jour' tampons is a company owned by a woman, one of the only tampon companies owned by a chick.. theyre okay... but a bit less neat, and their absorbency isnt as good

O.B. without an applicator usually. Or if I'm feeling like being really cheap then I get the store brand of tampax cardboard.

I normally buy the store brand with a cardboard applicator. Only when I first got my period did I insist on using a plastic applicator but it doesn't bother me at all now. No matter what brand I have, I really can't tell I have one in.

I use Tampax.. just the normal cardboard kind.. Cheaper than Pearl and its biodegradable.
I don't find much difference with it from Pearl.

OB is cheaper, but I really don't care much fore them...When you insert them it feels like felt or something scratchy, because theres no barrier between tampon and flesh... :( Ugh.

What?? No post about how tampon companies infuse the tampons with a chemical that makes you bleed more thus needing to buy more and more tampons???

Darn...I was hoping to be able to post the Snopes.com debunk link.Darn! *snaps finger and kicks stone like little kid.* It's like the BonzaiKitten hoax.

    I use Tampax...the scented kind.

True..I knew a girl who was visiting the US from Germany, and she didn't understand what applicators were for. She'd never used them in her life. But then again, a lot of Europeans don't have the same issues with actually touching their genitals.

    I like OBs.

Yeah, I was raised, that it's totally ok and natural to touch one's own genitals. In public, this is a different story.

But that leads to another question: How do people, that don't touch themselves down there, clean themselves???
