yeah, I thought so too, you said there was shopping so If I did come down I figured I would just hit up stores that arent here.
A spider talked to me once. He had a spanish accent and his name was Pablo. He lived in my bathroom next to the tub and he drove a purple Sunfire to work every day ... he told me all kinds of things that i soon forgot ... and the next morning he was still there ... and still DEAD. I decided then that i'd had one too many brownies that night ...
I have fear of spiders, so huge... but there is a reason, it's all in our head. It means that you have issues around illusions/reality, that if you are afraid to see reality as it is or that your are lying a lot, or that others are lying to you... the spider is spinning tales, the spider can also help you you become a master of reality. There is a psychological reason why some of us are really afraid of them. I killed once a huge spider, but the worst was that is was pregnant (she had a huge bag glued on her stomack) i felt bad about it, I am really sorry, but it was in a gursthous in india and i couldn't get her out..... i regret it, but i guess i wouldn't have been able to sleep that night.... I mean, imagine hundreds of baby spiders running around.... Weel i hope this spider can forgive me somehow....
I do hate spiders, and I do kill them, but I don't really think that it's right. One time, my boyfriend was, uh, downtown, and I looked down and there was a spider crawling across my stomach!!!! I screamed, and not a scream of pleasure. We both hate spiders, and that really ruined the mood. We went out and shot some pool instead. One instance that I will not kill spiders. I live close to the Detroit River, and my man and I go walking by it some nights waiting for the sun to come up. On the rails by the water, you can see these magnificant webs and these gynormous spiders in them. I agree, they are VERY gross, and I don't like them at all, but when I kill them, it's when they are in my house, disturbing my space. When I'm there, by the river, its like I'm in their house, so I let them be, and just admire them, and the beautiful and efficent webs they create.
i would just like to say that for a 15 yr old kid to be thinking that deeply is fairly impressive. these are all really unsolvable issues in life, for as hard as you try to solve them, the reality of it always comes first. that spiders life may have just as much value as a humans in one sense, but in reality killing the spider will cause the least suffering of the two (among humans of course). the thing is, all of the concepts of life and value are manmade, so we set our own standards. i would answer to keep in mind that beyond all of that philosophy everything just happens the way it happens and reality is woven by countless threads of associations and experience. so enjoy your thoughts and write about it, but don't worry to much about it. what happens happens, everything is and you can decide to do it the way you want, depending on what you see to cause the least suffering. reality's what you make of it. don't worry about last time, just don't kill the spider next time (unles you really want to)
I haven't read any previous comments minus the first page so maybe this has been said ...but should you think of other insect any differently? When you find an ants nest in your house do you take all the precautions as to save them all and escort them all safely outside? or do you somehow manage to co-exist in what once use to be 'your territory? Is it any different when a mindless spider takes an adventure through your house? What about a beetle? You should not teach any monster any different because of its apperance, they are all just trying to survive. Although I'm terrified of spiders I think they are beautiful. Sounds like a contridiction in itself.. but I think spiders are artists. Think about it.. Could you capture this beauty so effortlessly?
