What's different with the pro version? Also, thanks for explaining Bittorent,I had the same questions as Death, because I've heard of it so many times but never understood if it was a program or what.

When u agree to the terms and policies when installing a program, it installs spyware in you machine, Now in the Pro version, it shouldnt, cause the Pro version requires you to pay, But you can often find them cracked if you look around, but dont be foold, alot of Crack sites are malicious.

Bearshare wont work for me anymore. All I get is error when I try to d.l. something. So I scrapped it and am now trying Limewire. Im not oo impressed with it, but it's still better than WinMX. I'm gonna try Bittorent next.

Reread your thread LOL. I didn't partake in the poll cos it doesn't allow multiple choice answers.

I use different programs for different uses. Usually all I want is a single song file and for that using the search engine of a good p2p is easier than fishing around for torrents. And no I'm not interested in whole albums cos I'm constantly suffering from HD space crunch and bittorrent is not ideal for a single small mp3 file, for that I'll use bear. But if bear doesn't turn up any results I'll go to emule and I must say that emule still has a place as far as very rare files go. I expect bear in time to catch up but for now emule for rare files.

Yes emule is slooooow but I keep my client open so eventually I get the file.

kif, try reinstalling bear, sometimes that's all it takes to get a prog to work again. Try their help faq. Did you add a firewall and forgot to open ports? Limewire was built for mac users, and even tho it has windows versions it doesn't hold a candle to windows alternatives.

If nothing else try emule. Emule tip: you will have to select every result just to get something DL'ing, you can cancel them in the queue once you get a complete DL.

DC++ is the shit (too bad it's not in the list). They've got everything I ever looked for (and my tastes are rather unusual), and speeds of 100kb/s aren't exceptional. I owe it so much. :D

What client are you using? It sounds like you're not getting credit for you upload. Behind a firewall?
