That is pretty much true. But some "christians" claim to hate and justify this 'hate' by claiming to act on behalf of the divine.

What I was trying to illustrate was an example of what it means to take the Lord's name in vain. Many individuals, particularly from fundamentalist and for lack of a better term "orthodox" backgrounds, have misunderstood what this commandment means. It is NOT about swearing.

While I believe that the state should have no say with regards to social unions, I disagree with your statement. Who are you to judge another relationship? It's none of your business! Moreover, I don't believe is the 'one type fits all'-in this case heterosexual monogamy-model for relationships. If you believe that a heterosexual monogamous relationship is right for you, then fine! Just remember that not everyone feels that way and 'alternative' relationships may actually be beneficial.

I don't doubt the truth of that in more than just a few cases. When that is the case, you need to find out what the incident(s) were that caused that situation to emerge. If possible, discover what is needed to overcome that situation. It is possible that a 'bad apple' may cause one to reject the opposite sex for romance, but one simply might be oriented to his/her own kind.

What you may interpret as judging maybe Christians telling others what the Bible states is wrong. Yes, and there are alot of false Christians out there that give Christianity the wrong name but one thing is for sure all scripture is useful in correcting.

And Yes Jesus is loving but he did correct people of their wrong. Jesus loves all the people but he does not love sin and therefore he corrected people when they were wrong.

And one thing is for sure Jesus would not support gay rights, and it is not like he hates that person that is gay for he loves all people but he hates the sin. Likewise Christians should not hate the person but the sin. Be kind towards them but show no support for their lifestyle.

 

I love Jesus, one of the bravest beings I've ever met.
