Any of you read Jean Auel? I love her "Earth's Children" series. But I understand the next book in the series will be the last. That sucks.
I love the books... have read and re-read them several times over the past 15 years. It sucks that the next one will be the last, but she's been writing this series for the more than 20 years. I wouldn't be able to work with the same characters for that long without starting to hate them.
I just finished Clan of the Cave Bear for the second time, after reading through the whole series once already. Alya is my favorite book character of all time! I can't wait for the last book... there's so much hate for her living with the Zelandoni... I want to know how it turns out! Undoubtedly I will re-read this series many more times in my life.
I got so sick of Earth's Children. Don't get me wrong, Clan of the Cave Bear was brilliant. I loved it so much that I had to read the rest of the books (I think I got to the Valley of the Horses) even though they were absolute drivel. Monotonous, pointless rubbish. How many more have come out since then? No offence.
