I always say a car is something you spend a LOT of time in so your should make it YOURS! you dont decorate your house thinking "oooh if i want to sell it they wouldnt want this"

Thanks guys, yes it's a Ka - Ka's are my all time dream car. From the day they came out when I was younger I always said 'Mummy I want one of those one day but I know I'll have to settle for an old crappy one'. NOW look at me! Ha!

Don't you Americans get other types pf cool cars? This one is real economic and isn't expensive to run etc, small engine but not too small, so it's in a low band for insurance or something... Bless my Ka!

 

no, it seems like we get jipped on small sensible cars. I've got a hyundai accent, but we don't get the Hyundai Getz. We have the Geo Metros and stuff, but none of the really cool little cars. smart FINALLY announced that we are going to get a smartcar, but it's the new friggen SUV they are building.

 

ugh suv's suck...stoopid americans and their need for bigger and better...

SUVs are the "cool" version of the "old fogie" mini vans. That's why there're so many of them. I drive a 2001 Chevy Cavalier, and my DH wouldn't like me decorating it like that, but I can play around with it if I like. Hmmm... now you've got me thinking of some things I could do to it. Thanks for the inspiration!

SUV's are some stupid shit! Rather have a station wagon or a pick 'em up. Suv's to me are nothing but overly tall station wagons with a very short (and impractical) cargo bed.

 

I have a Geo Metro. Love my little car! It's totally the bomb. I've had it for 8 years, and besides the usual upkeep (oil changes and new tires) all I've had to do is put a new battery in it.

Plus, a tank of gas is like $24 and I can drive forever on it. I went 10 hours of highway driving without running out of gas!

Not practical if you have kids, but the cat and I fit nicely!

 

icedteaprincess, your metro sounds similiar to my accent, but probably a little bit better. I've only had it 2.5 years, but it's got 70,000 miles on it, and I JUST changed the brakes for the first time last night, and I've changed the oil about 10 tens (every 7500 miles) and it's on it's second set of tires... that's it!!! a bit small, but I love it's looks and it's great for the wife and I.

 

that's awesome. i love it. when i get a car/van, i'm going to paint crazy shit all over it. I love adding my own personal touch to everything i own.
