is it NECESSARY that you take the birth control pill the SAME time every single night? i've heard that it is necessary and i heard that it is NOT necessary. its so hard to take it the same time everyday!! i'm afraid that it will mess up my period or my body if i dont take it the same time?? HEEELP ...
I have been told that you have a two hour window on each side of twenty-four hours when you need to take it (for example, if you take it at noon one day, the next day you need to take it between ten and two. And then if you take it at ten, the next day it will need to be between eight and twelve, etc.) I'm not sure if those numbers are correct, but it is important to take it consistently at the same time every day, though. The more variation there is in your dosing times, the more likely you are to get pregnant. Also, please remember that if you are taking antibiotics or sick and vomitting, that your pill will not be effective.
Come on, if it's really that hard to take it at the same time then maybe you're not ready to be putting yourself in a situation where you need to be taking them. Besides, like the poster above was saying, there is that two hour window. It's not like you have to take your pill at exactly 10:26 or something. To make it easier, why not try taking your pill at the same time that you brush your teeth before bed? Unless that varies significantly from night to night, I think it would be a safe bet and would allow you to remember more easily.
thanks for the help... especially about the year window.... and its not that i'm not ready to put myself in that situation, i'm just very forgetful!!! anyway, i set a reminder on my cell phone so i definetly know to at least take it... thanks again
yeah you have to take it at the same time but if you miss it by one or two hours just take it anyway and be cautious during intercourse or something like that. it should be on the instructions that accompany the packet.
no it's not necessary... I don't take it the same time everyday.. they just tell you to take it the same time everyday just so you don't forget to take one everyday.
actually i heard that the pull out method doesn't work... actually i heard that from my family life teacher when I was in school.. she said that the clear seman can actually still get you pregnant. Their is still a good chance that You can still get pregnant if you pull out.
ummm sorry... i couldn't sense your sarcsm when you posted that.... *blush*.. i'm a fool and pathetic i know
