my daughter and her boyfriend just moved to halifax from cape breton. they love it there, but she is finding it a bit lonesome as she doesn't know anyone there her age. She is 18. She'll make friends soon enough when she starts working and then in the fall when she starts university at Saint Mary's, but for now, its a little lonesome. I remember when I first moved out to a new city, it can be hard. hope you enjoy halifax, it is a beautiful city with much to offer.
