Fair points. Was I so hurtful and vindictive? Not intentionally. The whole thrust of my posts was to try and imprint on the original postee how it is.....most of the time. Life isn't always a bowl of cherries. I was possibly harsh, but I meant well. My experience has often shown it has been the harder lessons in life that I learnt the quickest.

I do not zero in on you. On the contrary, your posts had an element of challenge and intellect behind them. I ignore the lesser, abusive posts scorching me and consider them not even worth a reply. Some are amusing, though.......'left over issues from high school'? Good one that, and maybe I have!......'Gay male in denial'? Ouch!! Hmmmm, I'm afraid I like women FAR too much for that - (though some may find that hard to believe!)

Yes, I have tuned over a new leaf. It is not easy, and possibly some habits are dying harder than others.

Anyways, you can all cheer loudly because I have decided to quit this area of the forum....and reflect.

Well, what tore me a new one...why I suggested you hadn't really read the post is that she (and her friends) had known the boy for over six months, and that he was ALREADY living on the property (but not in the house) her friend had found for her to room at. So evidently none of them had a freaking clue that he would create this situation.

Maybe if you duct taped the leaf while turned over..hehe....and I guess I ought to be slightly flattered that you noticed there is at least some intellect behind the keyboard on my end. *hands SS a mirror as a present for the trip* I did understand why...and like I said, you had points but they were lost on the whole. Sometimes a whisper can get more attention than a shout. Namaste~*

The one I was referring to, ye-ah. Did anyone else physically attack someone? Did they have to call the police to remove more than one person? I'm sorry, but IMHO there isn't an excuse to resort to violence.

If you do not like a situation you find yourself in LEAVE...CHANGE IT.... but to hit someone because you are hurt, not getting your way, ect, isn't a good reason. Unfortunately there are too many people that do not abide by that opinion so you have to learn what to look for and avoid people of that ilk.
If you read this thread entirely, you already read my opinion as well as others and the situation that transpired. Do you think SHE created the situation in reference? She ignored warning signs, that has already been said a million times....and her girlfriend, the one he actually beat up, what was her crime to deserve that? The fact that they befriended him?

    Update for anyone who's interested
    ________________________________________________

Rich is going to his arraignment tomorrow 8/17. He's being charged with 3rd degree assault (class 1 misdemeanor), harrassment (class 2 misdemeanor), and domestic violence.

The DA called me at work today. They're offering him a plea bargain. They'll drop the assault if he pleads guilty to domestic violence and harrassment.

ALSO, I found out that he has prior charges. In 2002, he was charged with domestic violence and assault. I imagine this was against his ex-fiance....

I really don't want the assault charge dropped....but...it's not up to me. I assume he'll take the plea bargain. Hopefully, he'll get some time in jail...I hope.

Honestly, I want him to get help...anger, and violence classes...but he's so stubborn...i think the only thing that WOULD help is jail time.

He hasn't come around me, though. But...that's the news.

I didn't ask 'did he do it' -he did.

I asked 'did he create it'.

STICK TO YOUR GUNS. Press assault charges don't let the DA get lazy.

Well, at his arraignment, he was offered the plea bargain.
He said he wanted to get a lawyer before he accepted anything.
His hearing is in October...buying time i guess...
From what I heard from my friend (who is harboring his asshole), the DA said that with the plea offer, he's be pleading guilty to DV and harrassment, with a two year sentence!!
He says he was never convicted in 2002...somehow the case was dropped...but he was CHARGED. So I guess that charge affects his sentencing now.

I want him to be charged with assault! I don't want it thrown out just to get him to plead guilty to the other two charges. He's guilty of all THREE.

But...if he gets an attorney...he could ask for a jury trial. If they find any reasonable doubt...it can all be thrown out. That's what I'm worried about. I just want him to accept responsibility for his violent temper.

And on top of all this, his dog ran away and got hit by a car, causing head trauma. I love that dog, and i hope he's ok....He hits my best friend...then his "best friend" gets hit.....Karma's a bitch, ain't it?
