    Hi everyone,
I've taken the occasional yoga class here and there, but am wondering if there is a specific yoga that you might reccommend for someone coming out of an injury. Im finishing up a month or so of physio, due to a weakness in my lower back that was pushed by my love of longboarding, along with some other things. I would like to continue to strengthin my core etc, but I am worried that certain positions may cause strain that i wont be able to handle and put myself back into another whimsicle round of therapy...
I am quite active in skateboarding and other activities that put a lot of pressure on my back, and my physio says that since i am quite a tiny person..that the risk of a similar injury if i dont do anything now are innevitable. Are there certain positions, or a certain kind of yoga that some of you would reccommend that wont strain my back? Pilates has also been reccommended to me..
Any more info would be awesome:)

I absolutely recommended Ashtanga yoga. Get a good teacher though--trust your instincts. Also called 'the hot yoga' I think, because it's done with a lot of heat so you can sweat and detox. Core building, along with prana (breath) make up the 'core' of the practice. It's clearing up a lot of my problems, spinal and of the wrists.

    Seek a teacher :D

for me personnally, i would NOT do ashatanga yoga in the beginning, more if you are almost already healed, hatha yoga, is somethin i would personnally focus on
