    Themselves...

Religious wars: the act of destroying entire civilization because they can't make opinions meet about "God".

or how about ..no one's under attack, except the imaginary bubbles (of bein attacked) created around'em! and since its managed to progress from imagination to reality, it is HUMANITY under attack - not a sect, religion, culture, creed, caste, country, city, colour, village, home, individual

It seems to me that Christianity (and Islam, and religion in general) has not been attacked as much as it has been hijacked.

I think it's sad, tragic, perverse even, that the potentially world-saving philosophy of "Love God, Love your neighbor, Love your enemy" has been twisted to "Burn in hell, Faggot." We've gone from "Forgive them, they don't know what they're doing" to "Kill the Heathens." How did that happen? When is it acceptable to act as though people are somehow less than human if they believe things that you don't?

Who allowed Jerry Falwell and George W. Bush to represent Christianity instead of more enlightened people like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. or (dare I suggest?), Jesus?

Those who allow prejudice, intolerance, fear, hatred and violence to influence how they behave toward any one of their fellow human beings, those who refuse to control themselves, present a distorted view of Christianity. I am sorry that is what most people see these days. It seems some people are long overdue for their epiphany.

    Peace and Love

It a Christian kills someone, then they are usually not a Christian. Remember, "No murderer shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven."

In some ways I could go along with that, if you were just talking about organized Christianity such as the Early Catholic Church. All too many people who attack Christianity, do so for selfish and short sighted reasons. Basic Christian rules like the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule are guidlines that peoples who would be free, MUST respect. To do any less, then society will crumble from it's own selfish, vain, inconsiderate, and irresponsible people. For all of the injustices done since America's beginnings, there have been many Good Christian people to counter the evil. This is the main reason why America is as prosperous as it is. In recent decades, traditional Christian/American ways have been under attack, because many people(of all walks of life) do not realize where their prosperity has come from.

America is prosperious because we were destined to be. America is the Babylon the Great of Jeremiah 50 and 51 and Revelation 18. And though we tower over all we will in the end fall.

I can't justify every war that America has gone to, but according to scripture defending yourself is not murder.

an example is that you would like all the jews that don't go back to Israel to die so that your end of the world prophecy comes true.

Well, it is the left that loves abortion rights, which has murdered about 50 millions American children. Americans have aborted away their social security, and the Democratic party aborted away their voting base. If you don't like the political land scape. You have nobody to blame but yourselves. Read the artical on line. The Cradle will rock. Any party that uses murder for their main party platform, is headed for destruction. Believe me, Jesus does not support a womans right to murder her children. And that is what the Democrats support.

I do not recall that being a bible prophecy.

Wars are caused by man's innate need to prove himself right amongst his peers, regardless if it be in the name of, "religion", heritage, land, etc. In childhood, children fight over a toy they both noticed at the same time. In the same way, men declare wars over land (Israel and Palestine). Psychology refers to it as defective nature. The Bible refers to it as the original sin of man.

Nearly every war in history, regardless of the cause stated, boils down to simply, "I am right, you are wrong."

Actually, most preachers are to busy being politically correct to preach that message. Yet if you study the prophecies of the end time Babylon you will find that this place is a nation that is built on many waters that has a mingled population, it is the merchant nation of the world, it is a nation that speaks with a great voice, it is shaded by wings, it mounts up into heaven, it has a mountain of war, it has it's own inland sea, it is beyond the rivers of ethiopia. Since the Old Testament was written in Israel you will have to follow that compass heading. It is a nation that is considered to be the hammer of the whole earth, it's wealth is such, that it makes the merchants of the earth wealthy. And this nation exist in the time when Jews are returning to Israel and Jerusalem. I have not been to church in years, but all this information can be found in the Bible. According to the Bible this nation will have many enemies to her North, that will rise up against her. These enemies will plot a sneak attack, and it states that all the cities of Babylon will be on fire and her end will come in one hours time. It also states that after this war, no one will ever be able to live in this land again, because the land will be completely polluted. The Bible states that no one will even be able to go back to this land even to remove a brick for a foundation some where else. It states just before this nation is attacked, the leaders of this nation will be fighting with each other. The Bible also states, that there will be a number of Jewish people in this nation, and from the time that the northern nations begin to threaten her with war, there will be two years allowed for people to escape. God said that He would return His people to their land at the time of the end. It will be during these two years, many American Jews will return to Israel. Also many other people will leave America at this time. The Bible states that their will be so much fear in the land that the farmers will not even return to work their fields. And this is why the Bible states, that in the last days perlious times will come to the world. Blood, fire, and pillars of smoke. I have yet to find a preacher with the courage to preach this message to his congergation. There is a lot more to this story.

quote: I do not recall that being a bible prophecy

Jesus died 4 U told me this in a judaism forum...says that all jews will return to Israel, then the end of the world will come about....seems this form of Christianity is simply a doomsday cult, and its followers won't be happy until they see signs that the world will end.....pretty sad if you ask me...well no one did, but still.

Some Christians seem to have a more enlightened and hopeful viewpoint that doesn't involve them waiting anxiously for the rapture....kind of sad to see them marginalized by hardliners, certainly a parallel to what is also happening with Islam, although I'll give you that Islamic harliners are a little more..violent.

Maybe Campbell answered my question, I'll never know because I hate reading long text without paragraph breaks.

The Bible actually states that, upon Christ's return, the Jews will see the wounds in his hands, "What are these wounds" (Zechariah 13:6)and mourn in severe repentance. It also says, "All of Israel will be saved." (Romans 11:26)

Actually, here in the United States 43% of women that have abortions are Protestant, and 23% are Catholic. Meaning the majority of aboritons preformed in the US are done on Christian women (even though you likely will now claim they aren't christian because of their abortion, the claim isn't yours to make - it is your God's). It seems that you have some major misconceptions on the issue. Maybe you should direct your zeal regarding the issue to members of your own community.

    Yes and no.

Those which state violations dealing with murder, theft, respecting others, yes...

Those dealing with keeping the "Sabbath", no other gods, gods name in vain, etc... pure mystical bullshit.
