I am looking for a "hassle-free" campsite for the Aug Phish show in camden. Please someone give me a heads up if you know of a reasonable place to camp. Also if anyone needs a ride...I am leaving from North West Indiana if you need a ride just let me know and we will try to help those in need. Thanks for your help, Will

hey now! I live in NJ, at the shore, and take it from me you dont want to camp in camden. The only people camping in camden are not doing it by choice. Camden is the dirty side of Philly, only in NJ. We always get a room in Cherry hill Nj, just a hop away. There is a nice Hilton and a few other places to stay. We wont even get a room in Camden, that town is scarey!!! Even the bums are scared. The nicest section of town is where the show is. There are always crackhead bums panhandling in the lot. It is definately not safe to sleep outdoors in Camden. I would keep my hotel door locked if I stayed there. This is not the midwest, it's NJ. take my advice get a room in Cherry Hill. camp the rest of your tour.

Well guys, I don't exactly have the cash for a hotel room. So it looks like I am going to take my chances with the crackheads and such. Thanks for the advice,
    Will

The police in Camden won't let you camp there. I went to go see Phish a few years back on the 4th of July inCamden and the cops weren't letting anyone hangout after the show, it's too dangerous. I grew up in Southern Jersey at the shore, so I am sure you will be a ble to find some kynd folk to help guide you to a safe crash zone.

Camden lot late night is the shadiest lot on the entire tour with Miami being the only possible exception. But at the same time its one of the funnest, just be careful. Your a lot safer in the parking lot than outside of it. And as many said before, you dont wanna camp in Camden.

i totally hear not having money for a hotel, but DO NOT camp or try to camp in camden. trust me. I'll try to look up some nearbye camping sites to that area, but id say NOT IN CAMDEN. i dont believe you can, anyway. BUt its not even taking chances with crackheads, its an extremely unsafe area. Its not a risk so much as a guarantee of trouble
