I had a dream I was speaking to Morrissey on a train platform. I think I was telling him that my cat George is a big fan of his. He seemed genuinely pleased.

I once had a dream that my boss told me not to go to work that day. I nearly didn't.

Hey, It's ok if you want to rip on Morrisseys new album, but leave the Smiths out of it!

Ahh, one of those bands people find hard to understand but who totally changed the face of British music and brought something totally unique and original into the world. One of those bands which has so completely influenced an entire generation of artists that modern music would be quite different if they hadn't existed. Still, a prophet is without honour in his own country... *sigh*

There is a light that never goes out.

True, maybe Brits have moved onto the latest flavor of the week. It's a shame the way the British press maniuplates you into thinking the Darkness is better than the Smiths;)

    At least showmet knows

my old drama teacher was the biggest smiths fan you could ever meet...he would always put a smiths song into whatever play we were doing at that point...and quotes from morrisey in the programme...

we actually did a play based on the bit from how soon is now...

"theres a club if you'd like to go
you could meet someone there who really loves you
so you go and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own
and you go home and you cry and you want to die"

it was set in a nightclub and the audience sat at tables dotted around it...the actors would sit at those tables too...and it all unfolded and ended up being about god and the devil pitting men and women against each other to see who was strongest...in the end no-one was stronger...but true love managed to win through in the end...it was pretty good...it was good to be in anyway...

but yeah...if you don't love the smiths then...you should...
