i got a question what is up with people listening to techno, i cant stand it, Thats not music Its a bunch of noises , i dont get how you classify That as music
"Techno" is such a vauge term. There is tons of electronica that goes far from the average 4/4 beat. Instead of generalizing, you ought to broaden your horizon a bit. Ishkur makes a great guide to electronica music, much of which you've probably never heard.
If you call yourself a hippie, then you should realize that all music is good. Saying techno isn't music is close minded. Yes it's a bunch of noises but that is what music is. Saying techno isn't music is saying that digital art isn't really art. It's just a different instrument producing the noises.
Theres some great techno music out there, and theres some really terrible techno too. good music isnt going to come to you, you have to find it yourself. if i had just heard what was on the radio, or tv or what my friends were listening to, i would think that most styles of music were bad. mainstream music and non mainstream music sound completely different, even if theyre the same style.
Techno is suxxx......... Trance is the best style... the best style of electronic music... trance is spiritual, ritualistic, trance is Peace, Love, Unity and Respect!!!
i hate the word 'techno'. there's so much good electronica out there that doesn't sound anything like the 'techno' you know; aphex twin, boards of canada, autechre, coil, air, amon tobin, dntel, squarepusher, and kraftwerk of course!
yes i guess there should be another name for the real "techno". some of the artists you mentioned that are techno sound likea completely different style of music. its like that for lots of different kinds of music though.

soooo many people think techno music IS electronic music...but it isn't! Yeah its a form of electronic music, but there are so many subgenre's within electronic, and techno is just one of them. techno is old school, it got really old fast for me.
all music is really just NOISE and sounds put together. the really shitty UNPLEASANT noise is dumasses screaming incoherently at the top of their lungs above terrible monotonous head-ache inducing "guitaring". ie pantera. THAT is not music. techno, trance, house, electronica etc, *IS* music. its hypnotic and deep and powerful and while much of it can be very boring (like all genres, there r shitty bands and good ones) alot of it is the best music i've ever heard. and i listen to everything except country. yes even angry screaming men. (like i loove some korn songs).
