I'm curious here. How many Christians still believe in sex only after marriage? And how many of you were/are faithful to this belief?
High school sex is the most ugly, pointless thing you'll ever encounter. I just see it as people exploiting each other to achieve some status symbol or to meet the status quo.. and I'm not even a Christian
The whole point of "sex only after marriage" is that it deems sex and sexuality to be un-natural or sinful. The same perverse reasoning also prevents the free expression of Love, and Love is God!! For God's sake!!
Sometimes I feel angry when I am having sex, like I am being moved against my will but it still feels really good.
Why do you feel the need to be so insensitive and blatantly mean, especially to a teenager? You really discredit yourself and the value of your opinions and discussions when you make comments like that. I have respected your views and thoughtful opinions, but statements like that make me wonder about your true perogatives. Its one thing to make valid points and share honest opinions and a completely different thing to be a bully and bash those who are expressing their honest views and very likely hurting their feelings. Which one of these categories do your intentions fall into? As far as the intelligent discussion that I was trying to evoke, I have known many (mostly femails, but quite a few males as well) who have lived according to their preference to wait until marriage to have sex. For many of my acquaintences it has been for religious beliefs, but also for many they choose this lifestyle regardless of any religious views. I personally think it is great. It is definately not the easy road, and I have to give great kudos for those who have the self discipline to do so!!!
I got a violation for using "profanity" once in college when I called a campus security officer a "prick" in public. After the whole confrontation was over he said he was still going to write me up. I said "what for" he said "for using profanity in public". I said, "what do you mean, I almost never use profanity or curse words and I know I didn't this time". He said "you called me a prick". I said "thats because you were being a prick!". Acceptance is the first step... Well, those words would be considered "mean" whether your a Christian or Atheist or whatever.
Well, the original idea was to protect any children that may come of it, so that they would not be illegitimate.
