Im jumpin in on this thread late too, but seriously... how does the world expect to compromise with the US attempting to install a democracy in an area of land insufficient of maintaining a democratic way of life for its people without being overcome by a theocratic revolutionary idea (like Iran)? It is only making those in Iraq who are native to that land targets to those who think in opposite (for the upcoming civil war). And those who think in opposite to the US style of democracy make up... hmmm... THE REST OF ASIA! Go figure. Strategically, the US is crawling up Islam's ass and trying to find a diamond in that rough. Think how the eventually half a trillion US tax-payers dollars could have been spent on alternative energy production. Or strengthening the physical borders. Or increasing investigations into the educational systems of America to eradicate the possibility into creating more terrorists. It sounds a lot like late 30's Nazi Germany, but it beats putting more handguns into the hands of ignorant Americans because theyre scared of martial law. That only inspires the next excuse for the US to lie its way into the next war 30 years from now. And dont think those who act wise, and proclaim to be wise arent ignorant too. I think the "war on terror" was invented with the petrol-consuming engine over a century ago. Do the names Rothchild and Rockerfeller ring any bells. Im too tired of this subject this morning, but visit this website and come up with your own opinion... www.suetheterrorists.net
we sent a shit load more people into vietnam, we fought that war through raw numbers, this one we're running "transformation" (which was btw proven to be a broken strategy in war games, once the insurgents learn the weakness a lot more casaulties are going to happen) it's a strategy based on as few people as possible with good information and good equipment. some of the problems with this are though that the tech can be overwhelmed, if you fire enough cruise missles at a ship it will go down, no matter what sort of ecm or point defense it has, computers can only handle so much and such things as ecm and point defense are very proscessor intensive you can also (clearly) overwhelm the armour we use by simply using more power, higher yield explosives and since they out man us all we have is our outgunning, in terms of loss we have lost quite a lot proportionatly compared to what we had lost by the same amount of time in in vietnam (consider that vietnam was our longest engagement) also look at this in terms of money lost, when a fully equipped soldier was lost in vietnam the finanvial loss was negligible, today it's a much larger loss, this sounds callous, but when a country runs out of money it will very quickly run out of people, especially when it runs a money dependant strategy such as this one
nice one Shaggie, but I still have great disdain for anyone who had played a part in taking this country into the entryway of armegeddon... thanks assholes... eh-hem, I mean Americans
