Have you heard about all the OTHER photos that haven't been released yet? And videos too? Was that evidence used to prosecute? Why isn't it being made public?

How many MORE people will be seen abusing prisoners, or instructing others to abuse them in those photos? My guess is it's the interogators themselves who are shown. Who haven't been prosecuted yet.

Just the TIP of the iceberg, one that's beginning to melt and leak all over the place...

Get ready for the deluge. They can only hold back so much, then the dam breaks.

They're gonna pay for their crimes, if there is any justice left in the world!

I'm sorry. I wasn't aware of the peacefull aplications for anthrax, VX nerve gas, West Nile fever germs and botulism. I'm sure that we were selling them to him with the intention of him using them to develop vaccines. And I also must apologise, as most of these things are biological weapons, not chemical weapons.

But let's see what CBS news has to say about this.
    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/12/31/world/main534798.shtml

"At the same time, there were multiple reports Iraq was using chemical weapons to repulse the Iranian advance; one State Department official told Secretary of State George Shultz that Iraq was engaging in 'almost daily use of (chemical weapons)' against Iranian troops."

So we knew that he was using chemical weapons. And we continued to sell him more things that could be used to develop chemical and biological weapons, even though these things are normaly restricted for sale to such people.

But don't trust me on this. And don't just read what other people copy/paste onto this site. Run a search yourself on Iraq, US, and chemical weapons. Skim past all of the recent propaganda about how horrible Iraq is and how many chemical weapons they have. And check out the sites talking about our history in helping them get it. You'll find plenty of evidence that we sold them some of it, even when we knew he was using it for evil things.

To be fair, Skip, I started the diversion into chemical weapons. And you're being a bit paranoid, aren't you? Someone on a payroll would certainly do a better job. All that Matthew is doing is making us document our beliefs, which is a service.

Now Matthew, if you'd respond to my point about the prisoner abuse. How did the doctors not notice that prisoners were being beaten regularly, and that one was beaten to death? And how were the prisoners marched around neked in broad daylight without someone noticing?

It seems to me, Matthew, that your beliefs are not based so much on a sober evaluation of the facts available, but on a desire to disagree with the liberals.

Like I've said before Skip. Karma is the last true form of Justice and it will happen. We may not see it, but these vile people will have to stand up & be counted. Their hateful ways will be returned to them 3 fold. Have Faith.

That could be a very true possibility. Then it becomes a vicious circle & nobody evolves. Thats the thing about karma if someone can break the chain of violence then that person is on the path of knowing.

OK. Since I've got Matthew on the run here, I'm gonna go debate chemical weapons in the thread he just posted a link to. And Matthew, how come you still won't respond to my point from two pages ago? How could noone above staff seargent have known about the torture? Prisoners were being paraded around neked in broad daylight. Wouldn't a doctor have noticed people being beaten to bloody pulps? Didn't anyone notice that someone was beaten to death? And what about CBS's reporting on the evidence of a cover-up?

Yick. New age spiribable. I've noticed a while ago that most Westerners don't comprehend karma as anything other than our concept of Divine Justice. But really, that's not what it is. If you want to talk about Divine Justice, why not just talk about it in our own terms? Why coopt another culture's terms and warp them to fit our mentality?

We sold Sadam things called "dual use substances". Things that have nice uses, but also can be used to create nasty weapons. They are normaly restricted. And certainly never sold to tyrants that are using chemical weapons in their current wars. Unless we really want them to win their current war, that is.

I am not disputing 'prisoner abuse' just the fact that some of the pictures are false..and that this thread is relying on pictures and events that have been dealt with [thankfully].

The link says something about: ' Last month, the U.S. Army announced 17 soldiers in Iraq, including a brigadier general, had been removed from duty after charges of mistreating Iraqi prisoners'.

Post me a link or give information about the events you mention [this would be more informative and relevant, than this thread is being imho].
If you think i am defending idiots abusing prisoners or the fact that these things did not happen, i am not.
My beliefs are what i have already stated ... it is obviously a 'sober evaluation' as i have noticed the falsehood of certain pictures and the relevance of the rest.. what am i disagreeing with ????? certain pictures are false and that this thread is slightly ironious....yeah well this point you seemed to have failed to address..so what do YOU think.

As for 'chemical weapons' this thread is not about that.. go speak with Pointbreak about that [as i don't know as much as he does about this point].. i have read we did not sell him this kind of weaponary though. The point of us selling him 'stuff' is as much circumspect as this thread is about its subject matter, that i can say.

A guy from my home state got in big trouble for torturing a prisoner till he died. He even lost a stripe over it, got written up, was cut out of Free Pizza Day... if the other guy he tortured had actually died, he might have gotten a few days in jail for it.
