It reminds me of the idea that alot of the missionaries had of Africa, that these poor savages needed God and their miserable condition must be the result of the way they live, which must be changed to the better Christian model. So, in a sense, yeah, your God does hate Africa, look at what hes' done to it over the last few centuries. So I ask you, why?

    cause they're black???

    JUST KIDDING!@

you can make that "centuries" "millenia" (Excepting of course for the Powerful Egyptians before MOSES came along and of course other countries that have enjoyed peaceful histories). But Africa as a continent hasn't been lucky.

I guess my best answer is that God's goodness is beyond our goodness, his understanding beyond our understanding, and His love beyond our love.

whether that's good or bad I can't tell you.

10 Possible Reasons Why Your "God" Might Hate Africa

    10. They forget to raise the toilet seat before they pee
    9. Human fossils found there are older than he is
    8. Despite all the plagues, famine, and wars that he throws at them- they
    keep singing and dancing
    7. Manifest Destination did'nt make it there
    6. They live like "animals" and have more fun than Jimmy Swaggert and
    Tammy Lee Baker
    5. If "God" made man in his image, does that mean "God" is an ape?
    4. Too much competition for peoples' souls from the Muslims
    3. He is tired of "trampelling out the vineyards where the grapes of wrath
    are stored"
    2. They don't know its' Christmastime
    1. White people there think they're "God"

africa is very old and people have been living there for ages. I believe therefore that Cain and Abel were africans and that that means that the first murderer was an african and the first victim was an african and from that day on they have been cursed.

partly true.. though i don't think the bible accepts anything past a certain date or darwinianism...

what you said though, cuts too the core of this thinking .. this is why i think all this karma and such is unfair and untrue.

That is real! Everybody is confused! How can we Love a God we can't see and hate our Neighbor we see everyday? I am Black, and when I was a child I could not understand why people hated us/me, yet they said they believed in God. The sad thing is while People fight between each other, the Planet and all the Creatures and Plants that live on it suffer. We were not taken out of Africa because of hate for Mankind, we were taken out of Africa so that our Plants and Animals could be killed. Now the Babylon System is out to kill every Plant and eat every Animal. Marijuana being the King/Queen of all Plants, is at the top of the list. It's really stupid because we are no match for Nature! And as far as everyone thinking God is what they are, in a way they are right because God(they) created all of us so God(they) would have to be everything we are and more. Holla @ cha Boy!

just because people suffer it doesnt mean god hates them! well if you believe in god at all. one way or the other, this world can only be a better place if we make it one. i know its a fucked up world, but god wont change it so it lies in our hands. if you believe in god, maybe he gives people the strength to act. in fact i have no idea and dont know much about god. but
    peace

wtf...now statements like this piss me off! perharps if i told u africa had enuff rersourses to feed the whole world you'd probably call me crazy, but it's true. just cuz most leaders act on foreign suggestions doesn't mean we are poor. Civilization begon here in Africa you know! i just have a feeling that one day americans, canadians and what not would need assistance from the "poor" countries! until then, think what you want!!

If someone steals everything from me, does that make me poor or the victim of a pirate?

Africa's problems come from it's underdevelopment. One logical reason for this is that the continent has a mostly shallow shoreline, which resulted in few ports. Continents such as Europe have prospered historically because of their ports.

    Aside from the obvious (colonialism)
the irregularity of rainfall hampers agriculture across much of the continent. Besides from the Sahara, quite a bit of rain falls in Africa, but it tends to fall all at one time of the year. Even if carefully managed the agricultural base can collapse more easily than in more succesful civilizations from better watered-regions.

Ironically, it is thought the drying of Africa 3 million y-a and subsequent receding of the forests catalyzed the evolution of ground-dwelling, upright walking apes. Evolution is a painful process after all.

God does not hate the Jews. They are his people. However, God is a righteous God and just like a father corrects a son, God corrects those who do wrong. Specifically in the OT we see the Jews in constant rebellion against God, but not once does God turn his back on the Jews--this shows the loving character of the God of Bible.

Africa is rapidly becoming christian. You should see the millions that flock to revivals there.

All I'm going to say is how arrogant of you to think that "God" is to blame. It could have been Allah, it could have been some other deity, it could even have been karma. Not to mention some straightforward reasons as to why Africa seems to be hard done by. It's been used as a shitting ground for centuries (slavery, trade etc). The rest of the world aren't helping enough and so on...

Having been born in africa (central african republic) and spending a little time there. I noticed a few very simple things that might give you a hint as to why africa is the way it is. Try to imagine examining the continent with a sort of darwinian/economic magnifying glass. As far as the whole darwinian thing is concerned africa is really quite simple and self explanitory... i.e. loins and elephants and crocs oh my adversely you actually have to be careful in bangui (the capital city of the c.a.r.) that a mango dosn't strike you in the head as it falls to the earth. When life is easy you don't have to work as hard. When life is dangerous you have to be wary. Throw in money and greed then you have a real bloodbath in the works. Did god bless africa with an incredible array of natural resources? Absolutely. A population that is well endowed with incredible physical attributes(from pygmees to the generally large bantus whose decendents we see in the NBA). Natural Resources.
Diamonds* Uranium* Oil* just about everything imaginable. The plight of africa and its people has many many factors. I would say that the people of africa are incredibly lucky to be blessed with such a beautiful place but are cursed by the common scourge that is known as humanity.
