Brad Pitt is going to be Dean. Don't know about you guys but I think that is the wrong choice. I really don't know which famous actor could play Moriarty. The man was unique.
This has been floating around for a while. Is he really gonna do it this time? I could swear I saw an article exactly like nearly two years ago.
"unique" is a very small word...fuck man...this story does'nt need any famous actors...leave them out of this brilliant fucking story and magic....
Really not convinced anyone can do this story justice, let alone a horde of Hollywood bigshots. God, why can't books just be left alone? Shall believe it when I see it.
Eh, Billy Crudup I think is a wise choice for Paradise actually.. Have any of you ever seen Jesus' Son, the movie? (I guess he's better known as Russell from Stillwater!.. Almost Famous)
Yeah...... I think i would prefer a small or independent film, as opposed to a big name Hollywood one...
It should still be rather successful. It will be directed by Sellars (or so, forgive me if I mispelled), the same director of "The Motorcycle Diaries".
Coppola knows what he's doing--he's one of the few people who got to the top by means of his artistic integrity, as opposed to pandering to the lowest common denominator. Calling a Coppola move "big name Hollywood" is like referring to The Beatles as "another generic top 40 act."
Ah ,i think you may have a few facts wrong ,the information i came across in the Irish Independent stated that "The Motorcycle Diaries" Director and writer Jose Rivera and Walter salles will be at the helm ,there is also no mention of Brad Pitt cast at all, i dont think casting and pre-production begins until next year.
I actually like the casting-- provided Brad Pitt can go back to method acting... but there`s no way the same director who made `Batman and Robin` could do anything interesting with On The Road except maybe give them flying surfboards. I don`t know this Selles guy... but what about Gus Van Sant?
