Should We Do Away with Rep?

Nobody ever gives me any, anyhow... Dump it..

 

you could understand that dribble.. I read it five times and couldnt understand a word...teach me your ways..heh

 

rep seems to be an easy geurilla style way of insulting someone without them knowing who you are. but i guess it doesn't really matter either way. seems to me people would be more open with their insults once they got mad enough, which might spill into even more flame wars on the general boards, which could get very annoying.

I get mostly legitimate rep. I still voted to get rid of it, because all the damn threads *cough*purple-moss*cough* are annoying. Sometimes you get a random insult for no reason by a loser.....but oh well.

 

I think we should get rid of rep.............




but before we do............shot me some positive REP people....Come on you won't need it anymore ...one last time for old time sake

 

they're kinda funny sometimes, though. the insults. just so random..

 

when i get nasty reps, which are my favorite, I put them in my sig and the last time i did that the poster didnt sign it but i figured out who it was and signed it for them and they got so mad that they followed me throughout the forum even in my journal and kept posting insults just cause of that...it was the most entertainment that I had in months..heh

Hehe I'm just used to dealing with idiots.

 

i like taking them and posting them in the thread they were used in. make a discussion topic out of them. something so silly about anonymous insults on a message board, dotcha think? but they're kinda fun when they're creative. some are just so deadpan that they're really amusing.

 

As my 'rep' has not altered in a month .. this seems grounds to remove the 'rep system' from the forum.

 

I don't think it's a bad thing. If you don't like it, you just choose for not using it. It'd be kinda pathetic if you really care about getting or not getting those rep points.

 

I think it is about the people that seem too care.. creating threads about such things is kind of pointless.. If the rep system was not functioning then the people who don't care .. won't be concerned. The people that do care won't be able to continue any further 'whinging'. Either way, no more 'rep' is available to whine about.

 

you know you should give me positive REP ...that way when its all gone you can look back and say ...."i gave positive rep to whispers , that made my day" ....with a big O smile on your face.....

it woudl be better if more people used it

just make it so you can comment on peoples posts privately to them and such(I know this could be done via PM but it would be used more if it were a feature)

Seriously though, all you people who so despise it, why? It's not forced on you.. How does it affect you so much as to make you hate it?

 

rep is not really that big of a thing.....if you just stop making an issue

 

I think reps should be done and gone unless you can make the system such as that they can not leave anonymous rep. Anyone who does not have the balls to sign their comments should not be a making it let alone having it make any difference to a persons standing on the boards.

So either all comments should be logged to the person sending it or it should not exist.

Too damn grade school.
