I heard on the news the other day that China and Russia are joining their militaries to practice together ...

Those who were discussing it said that America had nothing to worry about, and that it was just China's way of intimidating us.

I didn't catch much of this report at all bc I was at work when it was on, and i was only slightly watching it out of the corner of my eye as i took care of customers.

Does anyone have an more info on this? What's really going on?

Yes, we should not worry about their warplays.

China is something to worry about to all of us.
People nowadays are so ridiculously fascinated about doing trade with China that they completely drop any moral problems about human rights' violation, ecological violation and violation of Tibetan territory. They hell don't bother for the sake of more profit. And that's why they will get soon to a really bad awakening.

And even more astonishing is the fact that the Chinese economy isn't even that blooming the responsables for this ethical sale-out are pretending. Of course, they rise one skyscraper after the other long their coasts. But still, most capacity isn't used.
They get all the work by making cheaper salaries, yet, the rural population is very often still living in medieval sturctures (which makes them uncapable of participating in market - so China's market isn't that huge).

These are points we should bother.

  7. china got their first aircraft carrier just recently, it's an old soviet model, thet're refitting it

that we should be worried about, the fact that they are buying new toys

playing with old neighbors, this should not worry us.....

Russia and China [especialy Russia] have always been worried about such things [and vice versa]. Thankfully Russia is in 'peaceful' dialogue with America and has been for quite some time [and to a degree China also]. No offence did you stumble on a website dated 1959 by any chance ?.

    Ok,...here it is people.

    I'm not making this up.

There are those in the intelligence community who say
that Russia and China are attempting to streamline their millitaries compatibility to further combat islamic terrorisim in chechnia and other places in the east where the threat of terrorism is begining to grow.

    Now wait,...

There are those in the intelligence communites areound the world who also say that China really wants to get Taiwan back. But due to the symbiotic trade relations they share with the world, an act of incredible stupidity and agression like that would destroy China's growing economic power.

    Shit,...who knows for sure.

Two facts that can't be disputed

Russia's government agreed that China's "One China Policy" (the inclusion of Taiwan into China) is accepted and sanctioned by Russia

China is buying more arms from Russia like bombers, aircraft carriers, tanks, fighters, and other wonderfull things.

China plays a tricky balancing act.

No cause for alarm for now.

Bone up on Mao's little red book!!!!

    Just joking.......

    about the Mao part.

    Peace, Love, and remember.........

    "Our President's gone plum loco!!!"

    Your welcome :) FreedomFlower

@Digger: There are even people who say that China is secretly backing up or at least accepting terror. Scholl-Latour came up with that one in 2003. I am not sure what thinking about it, but it's still some rumors.

China is kind of an X factor so to speak
They pretty much do what they want.

I wouldn't doubt that certain hard line members of Chinas intelligence community could be funding terror organisations, Hell the good old USA funded Usama Bin Laden when he was fighting the Soviet Union back in the 1980's (Soviet incursion into Afganistan).

We are so wrapped up in Iraq, and the war on terror, that in combination with the tricky balancing act of keeping trade relations with China on an even keel, our intelligence people really have no idea whats going on in that sphere of the world.

China does not want to blow a good thing. they are making some serious dough undercutting our economy by selling us cheap stuff at rock bottom prices.

All this done by some poor Chinese worker making 50 cents a day (or less).

So much for the equality of communisim.

    Peace
    I love you all
    Keep asking the hard questions!
    That is your RIGHT!!!!!
    :)
