you know what i find funny that i was thinking about the other night is that Janis Joplin if she had tried to make it today in 2005, she probably wouldnt have beeen anything, honestly, think about it.....do u think that people, teens and adults, would accept her like they did back then? well....from stuff i have heard she wasnt very well accepted for quite a while back in those days either also a cool little piece of info: Marty Balin was the man who made the Jefferson Airplane come together, it had been his dream to have that band made. While they were touring, just before they were supposed to go on stage, they heard about Janis' death and it hit him so hard that he felt that he couldnt play that night and went back to his hotel room. The band played on without him and throughout the next few days, nobody had talked to him about him not coming to that performance so he felt as if they just didnt care if he was around or not so he split and deserted the band that was his dream to have.
why do pepole always have to ask these questions whos better than who in my opinion it is usually that they are just different a better way of asking is. who do you perfer?
Grace Slick was far more talented and had a very dark side like the female version of ozzy of that era.
(Jefferson Airplane) Lather was thirty years old today, They took away all of his toys. His mother sent newspaper clippings to him, About his old friends who'd stopped being boys. There was Harwitz E. Green, just turned thirty-three, His leather chair waits at the bank. And Seargent Dow Jones, twenty-seven years old, Commanding his very own tank. But Lather still finds it a nice thing to do, To lie about nude in the sand, Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps, And thrashing the air with his hands. But wait, oh Lather's productive you know, He produces the finest of sound, Putting drumsticks on either side of his nose, Snorting the best licks in town, But that's all over... Lather was thirty years old today, And Lather came foam from his tongue. He looked at me eyes wide and plainly said, Is it true that I'm no longer young? And the children call him famous, And the old men call him insane, And sometimes he's so nameless, That he hardly knows which game to play... Which words to say... And I should have told him, "No, you're not old." And I should have let him go on...smiling...babywide.
is one of my favor but hardly ever play in the radio . they only play white rabbit about 10 trilion times.
well i know that it just doesnt ever seem to matter baby oh honey when i go out or what im tryin to do cant you see im still left here and im holdin on in needin you
i'm for Slick she has more Grace.... Janis where do you hide your f****n' grace ! In fact it's a little stupid 'because more of the half of Janis popularity come of his dead.... If she was alive a lot of people who are fan now will say right now: Who is Janis Joplin ? His body is definitly captured in time... Janis is a photo... she always will be young... that's one of the main reason why a lot of young people love Janis. Grace decide to live and probably fight the most part of his demon... This is not something attractive enough for a lot of 21century kids .
Okay, well Janis has a stronger voice...but I love the way Grace Slick's sounds..it's just her style...I prefer Grace for sure!
