anyone here play jazz flute?

got any pointers for someone who's learning?

 

watch anchorman... seriously though listen to Ian Anderson's flute playin and try to find some sheet music for it, but i dont play so thats the best guess i have

That's actually a good tip. Is there actually a way to learn jazz!? I just consider it skittish improv. Good Luck. Maybe I'll learn too

I'm just playing along with recordings and learning Charlie Christian solos..
from what I've read, the fastest way to "learn" is to not study any theory or learn how to read sheet music, you just gotta play along with other jazz musicians.. seems to be working hella good for me.
