Using cid for your craft

I wanted to know, are there any writers or musicians or any kind of artists on here who try to use it to expand on what they do. How do you do it, ive tripped before but i didnt really get to sit down and think a whole lot, it was a crazy experience though. What do yous do to try and tap into whatevers out there and experience something to help you with it. I want to be a stand-up comedian, Bill Hicks used to do this a lot with psychadelics for this purpose. thanks

 

im a musician, and i've found pyschs very useful in tapping creative energies. on mushrooms, i usually get really into very traditional, folky music and i've wrote some of my simplest, but most heartfelt songs from mush experiences. with acid, i usually get interested in really far out, experimental stuff. like last time i was playing slide guitar past the fretboard and it was this alien spacy sound really tight. either way, i would suggest two things - unless its a light dose, don't set the trip with an aim of creating something, because then you'll be trying and it won't sound right. i would, rather, have a sober friend with a pad of paper or a taperecorder around so if anything comes up, you can remember it. i usually ahve my guitar lying around and if i feel the urge to play, i pick it up and play. its not good to feel like you have something to prove or an audience to play for. second, i would say do your most 'work' at the end of the trip its much easier to focus but ur still in that headspace... plus its a nice afterglow to be productive with all that energy. good luck!

 

i think bill hicks used nature a lot too to get his creativity flowing, which can be just as if not more effective if you ask me.

 

thanks man, i've been carrying around a pen and pad for a hile now cause im also a big pot head, so if i dont write something down right there, i of course...forget it within the time it takes people to finish laughing. I'm gonna go down to the river by myself friday and trip and see what happens, when i trip with other people i talk a lot more and come up with more stuff but by myself, like Bill Hicks used to do, im gonna try and get in touch with whatevers out there. Ill be doing that with shrooms, ill be taking cid tommorow. thanks

 

you just have to pick up teh guitar and make music. forget about all teh conventions of -creating art- of finding an inspiration and working with it. drugs are about the here and now. you just have to pick up your instrument, or get someone to record your ideas, or get a pencil or a paintbrush, or on your computer, or anything, and

just do it

not that i can say when it comes to acid, but thats how it is when on teh drugs ive tried. you cant try to structure antyhing premeditively, you just gotta play and your expression will be carried out. if you dont like it try it again a few times after getting sober inspiration.

I can't play any instruments despite numerous attempts at the guitar...but creating music has always been a fantasy of mine. Sometimes when i'm tripping i feel like i'm able to come up with beats and melodies that branch off of sounds or experiences...for instance, my last trip i was taking a walk with a friend whose flip flops were making some interesting noises with each step he took, i started mimicking it to make fun of him, then in between i threw in an interesting mixture of notes, and after sustaining a tune, i could come up with some rhymes overtop.
i could never do this sober, i would have absolutely no flow, but i almost couldn't stop it while i was tripping.

 

I paint, sculpt, weld, and craft. I would never do acid and attempt to do any of them, especially sculpting or welding. I can't think clearly... hell, I can't even think when on acid. Furthermore, I can't think clearly for weeks after dropping.

While in school I did all sorts of drugs while "art-ing". Pot, mushrooms, x, and crack were some of the most common. Didn't have a negative effect ON THE ART, but turned me into a raging freakazoid.

 

im from Virginia Beach, virginia, and i have been looking for acid now for about a year, and have had no success in doing so. everyone around here seems to bullshit. I know my shit, i know more about acid then the guy that invented it. i do my homework, but i never am able to get my hands on it. Someone please tell me where i can get it around here. you would be a life saver!
