well, drying them out shouldn't kill the mescaline.
I think you just took too little.

thanks for replying but it dosnt help much, ive got 5 or 6 butons left a couple are quite small, ther have no hairs or anything can someone tell me if i where to eat these would thier be any effect, would eating them fresh be better then eating them dried, ive seached the net but most info is on san pedro and extracting mecaline from peyote, some one must know something, im starting to think the 45 quid spent on this cactus is a waste, seeing how they take years to grow.

That's the point of growing peyote. It takes years to grow before you can experience the sacrament. It's sort of mystical. Let me ask you what motivated you to obtain peyote in the first place?

actually, before you cut your buttons next time, try to leave the crown...cut that part just before it turn from green to brown...that way your peyote will grow back. Eat it GREEN...its sooo tasty that way. Or take the green peyotes and slice them really thin and place them in a ziplock bag with water (about 2 cups), this is a nice way to extract the green medicine into an infusion while you freeze it, then when it thaws, it's be a nice clear/light green tea...tasty (sorta like cucumbers)...may the peyote be with you!
