I recently brewed some non-traditional ayahuasca for the first time. This stuff is definitely a step up from mushrooms or acid. The rue acts as an MAOI not only in the gut but also in the brain, as harmaline passes into the bloodstream unchanged, and so it has some pretty pronounced effects of its own at doses around 3 grams. 8 grams of hostilis was enough to put me into a trance state that lasted about an hour. Movement was impossible during that hour, so i stayed on the floor of a dark room and concentrated my attention away from my body and everyday reality. After focusing my attention away from myself I began to travel. I saw beautiful mountain landscapes, abandoned cities, and temples. I have sinced talked to many others who have taken ayahuasca, and many of them saw the same places that I saw. Has anyone else had a DMT experience that caused them to see these things?
Yes, i have had 5 experiences with ayahuasca. The first two were with rue and hostilis, like you. I think i used too much lemon juice both times, so i purged with little or no effect. My last two experiences were in the amazon with real shamans who brewed it and held a ceremony, and there the spirit of the ayahuasca slowly bloomed into me. IT was very dream like, i was put into many environments and situations that reminded me of the feeling of dreams. landscapes, cities, people, discussions, a large black womb of mother aya herself.
I can't wait to have a chance to go to south america to participate in a ceremony. I know that if i am impeccable it will happen someday. I want to try using the ayahuasca vine instead of rue, but i'm not sure of what kind to use. I also used too much lemon juice on my first attempt. I've heard that apple cider vinegar is a better choice.
I've just been preparing some Mimosa tea and I think I may have used to much lemon and also not boiled enough. I started two days ago by shredding 56 grams and putting in a pot with a liter of acified water (40%) and vitamin c. I heated slowly till it got to a simmer, and I let it simmer for about 15 minutes. I strained it then and put my bark in a tupperware since I didn't have enough acified water to do it two more times. Now I've got alot of liquid from my first go, and I'm thinking I might need to boil that same batch more. What do you all think?
I was looking into Mimosa Hostilis, but I didnt seem to find any online. no need to link me, maybe it was just the season.
Wow, thats a lot of mimosa for one brew...Is that all for you? When i use mimosa, i only use about 12-20 grams of dried root bark because it has one of the highest concentrations of DMT available. Also, there are a lot of tannins in it, which give it its purple color after you brew it, and tannins are known for their nauseating properties. If you are using acidified water AND vit. C, that might also get a little ugly. Its too much acid for your stomache, and most likly bad when you purge because that high of an acidic concentration in addition to your own natural stomache acids might be harmful to your esophogus (sp?). Apple cidar vinegar is much better to use, as it boils off when you are boiling it down to a shot glass amount of liquid. The best way to do it, if you still want to use mimosa, is to do a cold orange juice extraction or to just boil the stuff for a much longer time so you dont need any acidity in the water. If you are interested in other sources of DMT, try chacruna or chaliponga. both available online without legal problems. I think the only thing that has problems getting in the country from somehwere else is seeds, as the DEA views seeds as a potential hazrd to local flora, or at least thats what the letter said when my friend ordered anadenanthera colimbrina seeds from the netherlands.... As for what kind of vine to use, i use cielo (white, sky) ayahuasca, but all are fine to use.
Sorry it took awhile to get back. We ended up not boiling it off as much as we should and had alot of nasty acidified liquid to drink. I puked within a half hour the first attempt. Two nights later I tried again and with extreme concentration held it down, but I didn't drink enough for a full shamanic trip. I ended up going to sleep because I was tired and then waking up in the middle of the night tripping balls. Amazing visuals.
yea, the first part of mainly all my ayahuasca experiences i felt very tired. i think its the metabolic action of the beta carbolines binding to their respective sites that makes you tired in the beghinning. if you wait it out and let the dmt hit you, then its far more easier to stay awake.
