Down on the Corner by Creedence Clearwater Revival is a good song. It's pretty simple to play. They actually have a number of songs that might be good for you. Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult is a bit more interesting than that creedence tune, but it gets a little crazy partway through and the timing's nuts. Just try to count it out. If you can figure it out by all means play along. If not skip it until you're ready. Punk music is really good when you're first learning. So is rock n roll. Whatever you do just go note by note and make sure you're not trying to figure out a song with dropped tuning.
Pink Floyd-money Hendrix-manic depression Beatles-day tripper Just go through your album collection and find stuff that sounds good to you. Hopefully you can find a tab for it. Mxtabs.net has alot of good stuff.
I was going to recommend Suite No.1, Prelude, for Sola Cello by Bach, but decided to go with Getting Better by the Beatles.
Have a look at some Cream tabs, Jack Bruce is a superb bass player. Sunshine of Your Love is an easy beginner bassline.
Most anything by Sublime. Some aren't easy, but all are wicked. :X I reccomend Don't Push, and What I Got's pretty easy. Most Long Beach Dub Allstar stuff is pretty good too.
oo thanx all, i just learned the intro for dark star by the grateful dead, i feel so accomplished. i think next will be money by pf and what i got sounds good
bootsy's grooves are what bass is all about. jamming on The One. you can find tons of tabs...UTFSE. flashlight's really fun. sure to defeat sir nose! parliament, p-funk, funkadelic Fo Sho!
Lemmy plays a mean Bass for Motorhead. Other great Bass players I admire are Rush's Geddy Lee and the late, great John Entwistle.
