I have a boy cat that is not fixed. He has never sprayed (THANK GOD) and I was thinking about him having kittens with my cats friend. Is this a bad Idea? I'm just afraid that he will start to spray afterwards. We have had other boy cats come into the house, and he has never sprayed. Also, he is cat calling at night really bad. He will sit by the door and meow so loud. Does this mean he is (for lack of a better word) horney? Or is he just meowing?
mmmmm.....if he is doing those loud meeeooooowwwws, then he is most likely wanting a lady friend. I dont know about the spraying thing...I have had only 3 boy cats in my life and they were all fixed, so I never had to worry about the spraying. But I would really urge you to get him fixed and not let him impregnate any lady friends.......there are so many cats and kittens without homes, it is insane. Please consider that......(sorry I couldnt resist)
Why do you want him to have kittens? I think chances are hes going to end up breeding with more than just one female cat, that could mean a huge amount of cats are brought into this world. Please get your cat nuetered, animal shelters are overflowing with unwanted cats and kittens and it is very sad. If you dont get him nuetered then that means more and more cats adding to the horrible problem. Cats in kill shelters will be put to sleep if unwanted, in some places vivisection labs are allowed to go into shelters and take unwanted animals to use in experiments. No kill shelters dont put them to sleep, but they will have a waiting list for animals to be allowed in, as it takes so long to home them, this means some cats are turned away from those shelters and end up in kill ones.
