I feel depressed and i think it sort of has to do with weed. I feel like weed has shown me how crazy and nearly insane I am. I used to sort of believe drugs where an enlightening path towards being happy. I feel like I and most other people around me act fake, despise my effort to change and 'be real' I cant. I think I also have low self esteem and am insecure.

    Any suggests?

Posting something like 'just give up smokin man' isnt very helpul. I would like to know if anyone else has had similar problems with weed. Getting paranoid and stuff? And how they dealt with their problems.

Drugs make you more aware of your unconscious, subconscious, whatever. This is a fucked up world matey and weed will make you more aware of the unacknowledged guilt in the west, and that will make you depressed, you can't say 'fuck the rest,' when you're supposed to be one of the best, when you are complicit whether or not you know it, in a crime so distortedly devious we let 10,000 wither in a night, never putting up a fight, because They say "we care". Yeah:rolleyes: .
The world is crazy, you're reacting sanely. Awareness leads to action, not in some faction but a primordial soup, an amorphous group we have become - but in the end we are allone (sic).

If things aren't going well in your life, if you have unresolved issues etc. smoking weed can highlight that.

I've had times where getting high had a real negative effect..actually made me think more about problems than when I was not..and I've heard many other people say the same thing.

My advice is to quit for a while, not forever, but allow your brain to have some clarity. I think of getting high like a paranoia rollercoaster, and that can be the fun part about it, but if you aren't in the right place, you might not enjoy it.

Yeah, but it's the cause that causes the sores in this guy's thoughts and yours. You don't feel the others overlap with your soul, as it grows, when you smoke a mellow bowl?
Though it was truly said: Get out of bed, see sumshine while the days are fine. Weed opens the third I. See brightness, see nature, see movement, see life, with two eyes and a spare, I, care.

yeah i know where you're coming from. I used to feel the same way when i was younger...i had lots of unresolved stuff going on in my head as well as a lot of self steem issues that led to paranoia, depression states etc etc the lot..

i decided to quit for a while until i sorted out my stuff, gradually i started smoking again in a different state of mind, where i can finally enjoy my high and forget about the stresses of everyday life, which at the mo for me are almost none.

Yeah... I dont know how often you smoke, but maybe cut it back to once a week or just on the weekends. I've been smoking every day, not so much because I want to or dont want to, my friends just smoke a lot, and I'm always there, so I do too. What really pisses me off/depresses me is that everyone around me seems to have a great time getting high, and they smoke more than me and should have higher tolerance, but I smoke the same amount and just feel... bleh. When I get stoned I usualy just kinda shut off... get introverted and can never think of anything worth saying. Sometimes I start thinking about basicly everything you said. Feeling insecure, depressed, having no idea of who I am or what defines me...

I can definitely relate, if you're looking for advise... well, I am too. The best advise I can think of is to slow down. It'll probably be easier to focus in on whats bothering you with a clear mind and you'll appreciate the high more if you smoke less.

Think about life and things you dont like about it. Think about if you really feel this way and think about if those people really are fake. If you still think that and it makes you depressed and you dont want to be around those people, then take a break from being around them. I used to be depressed too. Now its only every once and a while.

Hey thanks alot to everyone who posted

Im 19, barely smoke that at all. I had just recently smoked like 4 times in the past today after not smoking for about 3 weeks before that. Just like to say thats for all the caring advice BUT i think i will be ok. I just thought about myself and why i do certain things. Anyways ive worked out a few big issues for me and feel great now! I still have a ways to go though but im over the first big hurdle.

    Thanks to everyone again
