well i might agree with you becouse it seems of all the artist when joe cocker play with a little help from my friends he gaves 500% of him and i was really moved by it. i saw it in the big screan theater in 1971. so it looks even more impresive than a home tv screen.

Hendrix was good but the camera man royally fuck up. just about every one wanted to murder the asshole handling the camera as he focus most of the time on Hendrix face instead of the fingers on the guitar.

THEY did not film any of the Jefferson Airplanes or Janis Joplin. that was another royal fuck up.

Santana was prob the best documented one. with great pictures and details and was not at night or with bad weather. "The big storm allready just past when Carlos Santana started to play".

The Who had the worse lights on stage . "they play at night".

Woodstock Film could had been better if they paid more attention to the camera angle and lighting . cut some of the behind the scene boring parts and cover bands like Jefferson Airplanes. you still had planty of time for behind the scene filming .

the version i borrowed form my library had both of them in it ....also a canned heat song, Voodoo Chile -Jimi Hendrix and an extra song by CS&N -Cost of Freedom.....it was the directors cut so i guess that explains it

Joe Cocker and The Who were my two favorites.

They played that documentary on VH1 over and over and over on Sunday...

I liked Arlo Guthrie and Sly And The Family Stone the most. I was pissed about Janis not being on, but, it was good overall.

Joe cocker is bullshit. He really needs to write his own songs instead of singing beatle songs like a mongol.
Woodstock documentairy is nice. I like Crosby,Stills & Nash, Country Joe and the Airplane, Jimi, and Santana.

The Joe Cocker one never fails to bring me to tears every time i see it. I also really really liked the one....ahh i can't remember who sang it, but the one about "all kids think their folks are square" And it shows clips of all the kiddies and babies at woodstock...that one makes me cry too. Fuck, all of the woodstock documentary makes me cry, no joke...i have to have a box of tissues ready if i watch it. :&
