alot of people have std's they just don't know it, as for herpes everyones got it.
as far as i'm aware genital warts are deemed incurable, the cheap way of getting rid of them might be this: go down the health food shop and get some lemon oil and apply it neat onto the the wart and see what gives, good luck.

its not a death sentance all you have to do is go to the doctors and tell them that you think you might have genital warts and if you do all you have to do is when you see signs of them go to the doctors and get them frozen off. my ex has warts and that what he does and his sex life is perfectly fine. you can only spread warts when a wart is open. so until you go to a doctor just dont have sex. If you and your gf are in a monogomous relationship and you havent gone astray then you need to have a nice little chit chat about how you know that she had gone outside of your relationship and cheated with a guy who has warts and now she has brought that disease into the your bed and now you have it.

This from the link in SkeeterIV's post:

Genital warts caused by the most common types of human papillomavirus (HPV) often go away on their own without treatment. For this and other reasons, experts sometimes have different approaches to treating genital warts.

    • Genital warts may disappear without treatment. This is the natural course of most genital warts.
    • Destroying large areas of warts is difficult and may cause scarring.
    • Treatment for genital warts does not eliminate the HPV infection. You may still be able to spread the infection. Condoms may help reduce the risk of HPV infection, though studies have not shown how much protection they provide.
    • Treatment of genital warts can be painful, and warts return after treatment in between 20% and 50% of people.2 Warts that return after being treated usually are not treated again unless you want to be retreated. If you do, you would usually choose a different form of treatment.
    • Some health professionals believe that treatment for genital warts will help prevent the spread of HPV infections and keep genital warts from returning.
According to Dr. Drew on Loveline most sexually active people in america have genital warts and don't know it.

I finally had "the talk" with my GF this last weekend.

She had been under incredible stress with her job, so I waited to tell her until her life calmed down. One emergency at the time.

I was as gentle as I could be, but as you can imagine, it was awful. I held her as she cried like a little girl who had just seen her puppy killed, or rather like a woman who had just been told she has an incurable STD, and had spread it to her (formerly) virgin BF.

We are both still in a traumatized state, and I don't know how this will all turn out.

I *HATE* to see her cry, and and *HATE* to know the kind of anguish she is going through. I love her so much and want to protect her from all harm, but she needed to know.

I'm sure she didn't cheat on me. This came from a relationship she had years ago, and she has no symptoms at all.

The good news is that she did have a full pelvic exam and pap smear 6 months ago, and everything was normal. I'm very relieved to know that her health is not in danger now, but neither one of us is OK.

I don't know if we ever will be OK again.
