Stoners giving blood?

I have heard that there is a shortage of blood because of Hurricane Katrina and I was thinking about going and donating some of my blood. I smoke alot of pot, though. Does anyone know if you get in trouble if they find THC in your donated blood? Will they even use my blood if it has THC in it?

According to the Canadian Blood Services, not if you have done any in the last 3 days before donating. It is question #2......and from experience, if you answer any question on there with a "yes" you are not eligible to donate.

 

My s/o is a health care worker and she says they don't test for thc. Just don't ckck yes and it should be fine. They realy don't have time for it at a time like this and it's not their job to report confidential medical info at anytime.

 

even question 1? it asks "are you feeling well today?".........i'd assume that they're looking for "yes" to be the answer

 

they don't test for thc, just don't say that you do any drugs though, if they ask

i was thinking it would be siiiicccckkkkk if u blew some lines or sumthin and donated ur blood while ur fucked up and like the perrson who recieves it and starts tripin, but ya im gonna donate as soon as im 17 plus i get service hours for my school

Donating blood is not something that anyone HAS to do. It's a gift of life, so please don't cheapen the gift by lying about what's IN your blood.....just don't go if you're on something.

The nurses talk to you one-on-one, and there is no police officer waiting for the people who said they took something...they just won't take your blood. Don't be so paranoid.
