I think this section should be called collective delusion, not America Attacks.

Bush did not steal the 2000 election. Votes are casted by electorial college delegates. Gore did have more popular votes, yes. But the long established system goes by the vote casted by the delegate who represents a given district, NOT the popular votes. Like it or not, these are the established rules.

Why was it done this way? The founding fathers of America were "elitists". They did not believe that all in the general population had the capacity to make prudent decisions(For the most part, they were right. However, with todays mass communications, this can become a less plausible idea. So, THINK and keep your cool.). They believed that elections could too easily be manipulated by a mob mentality. Mob mentality could and still can be, incited by people with less than noble and(or) wise intentions. The electoral delegates are a buffer against social and political chaos.

While this WAS an entirely legitimate reason for forming the rules that they did, not every individual who actually held governmental power could be trusted either. While I do not believe that Bush stole the election, outright, money and power can corrupt. In America it is still possible for people of humble beginnings to become powerful leaders, but it is increasingly rare. We should be careful not to vote just for the Kennedy clan, Clinton clan, or the Bush clan. We must vote for the individuals who show the best character. I believe that Bush is doing what he believes to be right. He is trying to follow through with his stated goals despite stringent Democratic opposition.

It is past my bedtime. Later.

Gore had the majority of electory college votes if Gore would have been given all the thousands of legally registered Florida democrats who were thrown off the Florida voter-rolls in a deliberate 'mistake'.

How do you know they were tampered with, votes? I say since it was so close, it should not be squabbled over. There was likely cheating on both sides. But that is the past and most importantly it isn't looking at the larger picture. We all must make sure we are better informed and that we make common sense common again and even more popular than before.

    I saw it on TV.

The BBC camera crew went right into Katherine Harris' office and confronted her deputy with the memos that proved that she deliberately conspired to throw thousands of legally registered Florida democrat voters off the voter rolls.

The poor deputy literally ran out of the office with the whole world watching.

I agree with you that we're all under a collective delusion, but this delusion is a deception projected by our super-ego (collective ego), and is the most successful strategy used by Primates to promote their survival and reproduction.

This psychotic delusion is the deception we called Civilization.

Oh dear, somebody has been watching too much West Wing. The vote was rigged. There is proof. And it was a totally unacceptable act.
Your democracy died that day. Yet merrily, you roll along, under the illusion that it's all ok.
Well, don't say i didn't warn you. The USA is becoming a fascist state under the illuminati.

We vote to make it look like we have choice. Maybe.

But a bigger delusion is the fairy-tale-reality-crutch people buy into when they "believe" or "go along with" the concept of government.

I'm fucking sick of stupid ass people needing a higher authority (which isn't even real it's all in your mind) I can't fucking believe that we, the human race, the most diverse original life form we've ever seen, divide themselves into "nations" and savagley loot the earth for their better share. If fucking sickens me.
    Thanks for the vent.
