Hi everyone! I wasn´t quite sure where to ask and I decieded to ask you guys (and girls :) ) I´m planning to travel from coast to coast in USA but since it´s pretty boring to just drive and drive I was wondering if you knew any sights to see and visit there? I won´t have a chance to travel any day soon but it is good to already make some kind of plans. So if you know something, anything, let me know :) It doesn´t have to be anything fancy, it could just be, for example, a bar that you like and think that I should go to. Any ideas?

    Geocaching......

    http://www.geocaching.com/

Sounds like "Train spotting" but if you want to see the best of what the USA has to offer then try this.....(Also USA is a HUGE place and a GPS unit will truly come in handy..) Most of the caches are put up by local people in really AMAZING places, usually off the beaten paths.....Highly recomended...(also a 4wd vehicle if poss...)

Hope you have a lovely time..

Hey, that's a cool site Strawpup... I was just browsing the travel section for some specifics and that link alone has given me more than I was looking for. Well, it's a start anyway.
    Thanks

And Tarantula... if you know what region(s) or states you'll be going thru on your trek across the US, I'll be happy to share any cool spots I've encountered in the past. This is a large country with tons of stuff to explore and check out. Enjoy!

Oh yes me and my family have pretty much been to every state in the U.S..well..ALMOST! but ok ill start from california..u shud go to san francisco, and Hollywood, and disneyland! oh and then maybe san diego...also go to las vegas...the Luxor hotel(egypt theme) is my favorite! Also go to the Straosphere, its like the tallest building in vegas, they have a roller coaster and other rides on the top, and t hey are like the 3 highest rides in the world! you should stop by the grand canyon too...its so grand! like its just like 'wow..' and also go thru new mexico, its so awesome there...and theres that one alien town there..i 4got what it was called..Rosewell! thats it! okay ok i can't go in order anymore..Lake Tahoe is pretty fun (only when it snows though..but vegas is way better in my opinon) Yellowstone park in Wyoming is pretty cool, with the gysers and ol' faithful and all. Also, i havent been to Minesota, but they have that giant mall there with like some roller coasters in them or something! Sounds intreseting.... but also..well i only been to the St.Louis airport, but i think it would be cool to see the arch. and also, u shud go to memphis, tennese, its pretty cool there. They have that Elvis house over there. And i havent been to NYC..but i think it would be real rad to go there, and I havent been to Miami or the Florida keys (but we are soon) but i think it looks so fun over there! Also, New Orleans looks pretty cool too...well thats all i can think of but its just really fun to go to different parts of the country and see how people talk and stuff..hehe well goodluck and have fun!

Wow, thank you everyone! It seems like I "have" to be there a bit longer than I planned. Well, it only means that I have get more money. :)

Well, that is exactly why I hoped if you told me a little about the places I should go and see so I could know what kind of route I should take. :) Hmm.. Otherwise it probably would be a big waste of money and time. I know there´s a lot of places and stuff that tour guides and travel agents know nothing about. I want to see something weird! ;)

I´ll check that link as soon as possible! Thank you!!

Ive taken that trip a few times myself! So I would recommend doing what I do....every time you enter a new state stop at the visitor's center (usually the first rest stop) and check out those cheesey little pamphets...you can find the most odd places to check out like the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD, Yellowstone is like being on some other planet or moon!, you'll find stuff like the worlds largest ball of string, the caddilac ranch, rte 66 is beat up but cool to see...just get out there and explore...thats the best way!
