They should name hurricanes stuff like "The Devastator" or "the Annihilator"!

"The Devastator has stricken terror into the heart of American's on the gulf coast!" or "The Annihilator has reaped carnage upon the gulf states while driving gas prices up nationwide!".

They could even name an earthquake after the Governer of California: "The Terminator has caused widespread damage and panic in the L.A. basin. Fires are running wild through downtown burbank as aftershocks from The Terminator's tremendous power rip apart gas lines in the usually tranquil suberb. The Terminator has treated southern california like a girly man one again. Signing off, this is Herb Alpert, for SUNY San Diego."

yeah its like hurricane nancy killed seven thousand people today... why give such a devistation a name? we should kill it. kill the hurricane. fucking hurricane. its funny, how they immediately looking for someone to blame, and theyre blaming it on globing warming, thus blaming it on us.

rev fred phelps in topeka kansas is blaming america because we harbour gays.

the funny thing is, louisiana voted for bush, and bush was against gay marriage.. hmm, if a hurricane or mother nature would have taught america a lesson, it would have hit the boston area..... youd think.... or a devistating earthquake in california.

the problem is that you don't really know how powerfully a hurricane is going to affect people. calling something the annihilator, and it ends up a category one by landfall would just kinda be silly. though probaly vastly entertaining.

Comparing Hurricane Katrina to the boxing day tsunami absolutely sickens me. The tsunami was an unparralleled natural disaster, a tragedy that most cannot even begin to comprehend. 300 000 people died for fucks sake. It came without warning, unlike hurricane Katrina, where people had plenty of warning to leave, and chose not too. (I understand that New Orleans was a very poor city, and some may not have had the means to escape) This story is all over the news in Australia and the UK and it pisses me off. If a hurricane hit any third world country and 1000 people died (I don't mean to devalue human life, but it isn't that many people) I doubt many people woud give a flying fuck. It may get a few paragraphs on the tenth page of your newspaper. So fucking what? They were uncivilised. They spoke a a different language. I can't relate to them. The London bombings were an horrific act of terrorism where 54 innocent people were slaughtered, and garnered MASSIVE media coverage in the 1st world. The day after, 60 people were killed by a suicide bomber in Baghdad, which recieved less than 30 seconds coverage on my local news. What the fuck? These were HUMANS for God's sake! What is going on!? And what was my original point?!!!???!???

i think grouping us americans in one lump sum is also unfair...
our government and many of our people are self-righteous but not a reflection of each of us....
my heart goes out to all that suffer and if i were any other country i would hate america too...i am actually very ashamed of our societal ways...but i also love and appreciate that our society as a whole does not represent each of our cells....not all of our body is covered with cancer

I know I know. I hate to generalise. There is little golden pockets of sunshine like you scattered all over your little land. It is the one thing the rest of the U.S hating world fails to recognise.
