led zep at knebworth

does anyone remember the led at knebworth ....i was 15 so a fair way back......went down on the friday night with some biker friends of my dads .we hired a transit van and off we went. put the tents up on arrival and was told in no uncertain terms to stay near as i would get llost. sat when zep were on stage we were fortunate enough to be right in front of the stage.then i needed the loo so off i went not telling anyone ......i lost my way back and ended up with some dudes from holland getting stoned off my face . was found later that day ..by a red faced chris who had spent two or three hours riding round on a security guys bike looking for me ..needless to say he was pretty pissed off .......now im a gig and festival veteran .got any stories to tell im all ears....peace

 

I've got both nights on DVD. :H


The first night on the 4th August is generally thought of to be the best performance wise.. With the gig on the 11th a bit more sloppy..

The 26th anniversary for the gig on the 4th has just passed and I watched the whole show that night.... I shall be whipping out me DVD for the 11th tomorrow.






I dunno if you've got the official Zeppelin DVD that came out a while back but it's got some great crowd footage from Knebworth, you might see someone you know!

I wasnt there...considering I'm 14....but I wish I was there...even thought it depresses me to think that John Bonham died the year after...and it was the end of Led Zeppelin. But never the less....it's Led Zeppelin, and any show with Zeppelin music deserves seeing...except for maybe some crappy cover band...

Yeah, I was, and sweet seventeen. Still got the programme somehow or the other.
I was listening more to Genesis at the time, but I feel a good vibe from trying to remember that gig. That's going to keep my brain occupied for a while now, good thoughts, thanks.
