ok so heres the story. . . i had a contact in england whom ive known for years and we had it set up that next summer id pay my way over to england and stay for a spell. . . well today i find out he cant take me in . . and im just tryin to find some english contacts so if i still decide to come over, ill at least know somebody. i wont have to wander around a foreign country on my own. . . well thats all i can really say, so if ya want to get in touch w/ me. . then y god id like to get to know ya. . . Why's that then? Is it the regular sightings of Stephen Hawking in town or just being in the same town where that band Pink Floyd got going, or is it something else? To be honest I miss living in London and when i'm all set up in some sort of career or other assuming I get my degree this time next year I intend to live there again, having moved away to Cambridge when I was 10.
hi court lew im a mum with 7 kids one whom is your age......it all dependa what part of england you are travelling too i suppose but you would be more than welcome to bunk in with my lot and it would be cheaper as well.my 21 yr old daughter has her own place and theres room there too ...............pm me and let me know
just come in the summer and bring a tent. and sleep anywhere- well until u get arrested that it. if you cant find anywhere look up the backpackers, its quite cheap there and there everywhere, well i know theres on in portsmouth, scotland and devon
It may seem daunting but don't be too afraid of travelling alone, or arriving in a new country alone for that matter. Book yourself into a backpackers hostel (check either hostelworld.com or the lonely planet thorntree forum for recommended places) and you'll meet plenty of like minded people. Who knows where you may end up. That's the fun of it for me, meeting someone who takes you away from your plans just because you feel like hooking up with them for a while. I did it in India and had a GREAT time, did things I never would have if I'd stuck to my "plan". Anyway, I hope that you enjoy your visit and if you want to hook up (if I'm in the UK at that time) then I'll happily show you around/lend you a tent/whatever.
