Pharms on a drug test??? Ambien?

I just had to take a piss test at 2:45 or so and my experience was nothing like what I've read/heard people describe here or anywhere....

See, I take a lot of prescriptions for legitimate purposes, some of which will show up as illegal substances even on the basic 5 category piss tests. I've always heard that someone in my situation should inform the test administrator of their prescriptions beforehand so that there are no misunderstandings, but I didn't even get the opportunity to list them or anything. The lady just asked me if I was on any prescription drugs at all, to which I answered "yes," and then she haulted me and simply asked for the name of the doctor who prescribes them to me. Well, I was very vague (for a good reason) and gave her the name of the psychiatrist I saw about a month ago when I was in Greenville, SC.

Now, I don't live in SC anymore... infact, I live back in Rome, GA and I'm starting work at a Metal and Die (not like die as in dead) plant. As a matter of fact, I was already guaranteed a job and hired yesterday... I start work tomorrow morning at 6am. This past month has been rather difficult for me to say the least, and consequently I have used several of the legitimate prescriptions that I saved for "as needed" emergencies, and also those which I am currently prescribed to have since my doctor was kind enough to give me one extra month of care while I changed locations (Twice in one month!).

I'll be frank now... I had some leftover xanax from a previous doc/prescription, adderall which I've been on for 2-3 yrs now, ambien which is new, but legit, klonopin-which my aunt (who is a psychiatric nurse) gave me to help with my sleep (ambien seriously has no effect other than amnesia on me), paxil (no need to worry there!), and i smoked a dime of shwag with a friend over a period of time from like the 5th-14th or 15th (Aug)... like two blunts worth... tops...
I'm in pretty good shape, I work outside and sweat like balls almost all the time, but especially these last two weeks... I drink coke all the time, as well as water and cranberry juice... I have a pretty good immune system (my mind is a little questionable tho... ) and I also have a rather high metabolic rate... like I piss at least 4-5 times a day and probably shit once or twice depending on what I ate... I've lost 15lbs since I last smoked and got high, but two or three days ago I took a dead bong rip outta my late uncle's bong... it was futile, and I thought I was in the clear with being hired and guaranteed employment...

So...... am I fucked, or am I fine?

I agree, I think you are fine. If anything comes up, they should be able to verify the prescriptions (ALTHOUGH - I think that is a HUGE violation of your privacy, but that's another issue).

 

oh, but to answer your question, the Xanax, Klonopin, and possibly the Ambien will show up as benzodiazepine, and the Adderall will show up as amphetamines.

So long as you have at least one legit script for an amphetamine and a benzo, I think you will be fine. They could run specific tests to see which one is in your system, but that would be cost prohibitive for employment screening.
