So this is what Britney Spears says about her impending birth: Mrs. Federline also admits she'd prefer to skip the huffing and puffing portion of the birth, and is keeping her fingers crossed that she'll deliver via Caesarean section. The reason? Her mom overshared about the pain she endured during delivery. "I have a feeling I'm going to have an operation," Brit tells the magazine. "I don't know why, but I hope so. My mom said giving birth was the most excruciating thing that she's ever gone through in her life. So if a Caesarean doesn't happen, I'll be like, 'Epidural, please!' Hopefully my athletic abilities will take over." Gag me with a spoon.
aw, now, don't be so harsh. she can't help how she was raised, and a LOT of women are OPTING for a c-section when one isn't indicated! it's shocking, i know. my mother in law is a labor and delievery nurse, and she sees more and more voluntary c-sections every day. i started to feel pretty bad about having my emergency c-section, because i wanted the best options possible for my body and my little girl. but my mother said to me "you've got nothing to prove to anyone."
it's a funny ol' world.... I remember when lasses were terrified of having a C-section, because of the scarring it would leave.....now they choose a C-section as a more "comfortable" option.... as long as the priority is for the well being of both mother and baby....i don't see the prob....
yeah, well, now she'll get to see why all the mommies were so pissed at her marketing people turning her into a teen sex kitten and her later turning uber sleaze. whatever. i've see worse situations to raise a baby, eh?
I've had 4 C sections and would have done ANYTHING to have had a safe vaginal birth. Even endured the 54 hour labor again. Damn, I hope Brittany breastfeeds, or we are going to have an entire of generation of babies deprived of the breast, if she starts a litany of how wonderful it is to "let someone else feed the baby."
I tell you-I had both vaginal and a c-section. While, yes, birthing a baby does hurt, it dissappears the moment your baby is born. But a c-section is MAJOR surgery and hurts for months.
well, this isn't exactly the place for encouraging unecessary c-sections...natural birth IS the preferred method here, in case you'd missed that.
well, i doubt bugs would be defending her much if he saw how "fat and chunky" she is now. he hates that.
I have given birth to 7 babies & never had a C-section. (10 yr old born at home)The important thing should be to make sure a baby is safe & healthy...so why should it matter how it comes out?
Apparently becomming a mother has NOT made this woman a better role model. Let's hope she also opts to have a nanny raise her child--the kid might actually benefit from limited parental envolvement! Oh yeah, and all us mamas are jelous of Brittney...riiiight...
Then fuck a water bottle. Anyway, I don't think she's thinking that it'll set a bad example or anything. I think, like a lot of woman, she's been scared off by the horror stories about labor pains. My mother always told me to ignore the horror stories because, yes, it is very painful, but in the end, it's worth being up for. I mean, you get to see your baby being born. That's gotta be so incredible. I really hope that if I have kids I can have them the natural way instead of being knocked out for a C-section. But a lot of woman don't think about it that way, because they're too afraid of labor pains. So I don't think she's really doing anything wrong, I think she's just scared.
yeah. she can't help being scared, it is pretty terrifying.but i wasn't knocked out for my c-section. i was conscious, though i wasn't allowed to see them cut me open, thank GOD. but i held my baby immediately after.
