Just in a nutshell - really objective, really down to earth. What is the most basic princible of it? Blessings Sebbi
why is the sky blue? To understand Kabbalah, one must understand the Zohar and other writings. The idea is a mystical connection with HaShem.
drumminmama - I tryed reading the Zohar but didn't get very far. I'm not good at reading Archaic. Ryupower - can you elaborate a tiny bit more than that? Thanks Sebbi
reading archaic? do you mean aramaic? or archaic hebrew? found this set of links. Ignore the Kabbalah Center as that is the Scientology of Kabbalah. Since you used a "C" in your original post, you might want to see what the Xtian board has to say about Xtain Cabala. They are different.
The translation I saw used very archaic English. Being dyslexic I find it hard to follow. I've seen Cabala spelt a number of different ways and have been told not to worry, Cabala is a hebrew word anyway so all the Westernised versions are just hazarding a guess at it. I'll bare that in mind though and spell it with a K. Thanks Sebbi
when spelled with a C it tends to refer to a short-lived Xtian brand of mysticism. How'd the links work for you.
http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4809 http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85572 The way I see it is that the topic presented, regardless of the spelling, is a mystical side to judaism. One of many mysteries within this faith. What do you mean by basic principle?
A good book for the basic principles of Jewish mysticism, which includes hasidism, is: The way into the Jewish mystical tradition by Lawrence Kushner http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1580230296/103-8725594-8412668?v=glance It covers all the key concepts using fairly easy to understand examples.
