have my two weeks vactaion, and im heading up adams lake BC tomorrow. a big lake in a verry remote aira, and I tend to go even remoter by takin my aluminum boat 50km up the lake to a water accsess campsite. once im thier its just me and the fish and local wild liife. its a good chance i I wont see another person for 2 weeks. I used to do this kind a thing with a conoe, but im getting lazy. with my aluminum I dont have to paddle and I can carry 5 times the gear.also I can make 50km trip in in a couple hours and not two days. well as long as motor dosnt break, then i havce to pull out he oars. 50 km is long way to row 400lbs of gear and boat on your own
bc is great so far.. i'm in nelson right now but i don't know anyone and i'm stuck in a hostel, sick blahh
well a 2680km round trip later im back home. I only spent a week over at adams lake, it was rather uneventfull but that was kind of the idea. then headed up onto the Cariboo platough to visit my granparnts adn do some fishng on the creeks and smaller lakes up thier sighted a whole shit load of bats, ive never seen so many. if you want to see bats go to adams lake. 1 beaver,it swam about 10 feet away from my boat, beavers grunt by the way 19 deer, 3 of them bucks. half of them i just drove by. I acidently spooked one out of its bedding aria, must been with in arms reach of me. some what of hairy moment, it just stood thier looking at me, and me at it for half a minute. fortunalty it ran off, I didnt want be trample or kicked by a panicked deer. half dozen mointian goats driving back though jasper loons ducks geese, too many other birds to counts , moose and bear are two animals I prefer to avoid if im unarmed. I heard a moose, and saw some bear shit. close enough for me. --------- and um, i also saw 6 rainbow trout and 2 kokanies. they didnt survive the incounter with me though
