Nope... Prolly not. LOL! But maybe instead of being 90% secure in my beliefs, let's say, it would prolly drop to about... Mmm... Let's say 70%. *shrugs* Keeping a shred of doubt in my mind keeps me sane... I don't wanna be a zealot. However, I've seen and felt things I can't describe logically. And I function a bit too well in the real world to be totally crazy... So I'm inclined to think it's something else.... That's why I believe. The applications ended up making my life better. That's all. It's really kinda simplistic, I guess.
OK, Art, about hell: Luke 16:19-31 19 The Rich Man and Lazarus "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' 25 But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.' 27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.' 29 Abraham said to him,'They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' 30 And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' 31 But he said to him,'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'" NKJV Matthew 10:28 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell NKJV Matthew 5:30 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell . NKJV Ezekiel 31:16-17 made the nations shake at the sound of its fall, when I cast it down to hell together with those who descend into the Pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the depths of the earth. 17 They also went down to hell with it, with those slain by the sword; and those who were its strong arm dwelt in its shadows among the nations. NKJV
Jesus and Angels, there's a difference: Hebrews 1:1-7 1:1 God's Supreme Revelation (cf. John 1:1-4) God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 The Son Exalted Above Angels For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son"? 6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him." 7 And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." NKJV So there's a distinction here. Peace, and don't kill me! ^^""
have you ever seen matter created? uncreated? then by 'watching the natural world' it would seem more reasonable that matter was never created.
the Rich man and Lazarus is a illustration and a story. It is not a narrtive.Jesus may not give clear indection that it is one but at Matt. 13:34 it says "without an illustration he would not speak to them" My bible says "Do not be Fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul ; but rather be in fear of him that can both destoy the soul and body in Gehnna." note that it says the soul will be desrotyed in hell rather than it being tourmented for all time. the point of Matthew 5:30 means that its better to destory your sin than rather you being destoryed. It said PIT the ground you know the place where dead pepole are barried. Fire in the bible is used to represent Death dont you see.
I actually dont think we beleave he was an angle.....Sure we say he was Michlie but not an angle(The term archangle is not in the bible.) Form look I can see that Jesus is amrked as God's most predios creation and son. "You are my son; I today, I have become your father" Jesus and Jehovah are 2 people and hloy spirt is not a person rather God active force which makes sense with soul meaning breth
Done thank you I have become wiser because of this. The real reson that Im questioning is because 1.Gods actions in the OT 2.Dating but ahh well.
I think kinda that we are all Jesus, you see? God said "Jesus you my son, I yo' father, word homez." Its like God is the Supreme, or the Excellent State of Bliss, or whatevery ou wanna call it cuz there just words, but if you KNOW then yuu know what Im sayin. So Jesus was like "'woooooh dig, i m seeein this sick light. i gotta go let all my homies know." see maybe god didnt SAY that, but Jesus just knew it. And he realized we all one. So he says "My father said this" or something but do you get whut im sayin the world which we perceive with our eyes is an illusion which goes away in time. God, the Supreme Reality, will always be here and has always been. Heaven and Hell are realms inside mans rational mind which can be explored and figured out. They too exist in time and are not REAL. What is real doesnt die, whut is unreal never lived. OOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM say this ^^^^ and mean it. thats whut we is. anyone know? or is this too tripped out?
thats what i've been sayin man kinda. God is all and One God is Reality he has the whole picture, we have only preceptions
Sorry, but I need to correct you. Archangel is found in the Bible: 1 Thessalonians 4:16 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel , and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. NKJV Jude 9 9 Yet Michael the archangel , in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said,"The Lord rebuke you!" NKJV And, concerning Jesus' Diety: John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. NKJV So who's the word? Answer: John 1:14-18 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said,'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.'" 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. NKJV
Hmmm arch angel is in the bible.....I learned somthing. Any way John 1:1 has been interprited many differnt ways "and the word was a god" "and a god was the word" "a and a word was a divine being" ect by god the bible somtimes means a mighty creature. So Jesus was with god during creation.Did you every wonder who god was talking to in Gennis. This issue has to do with greek language and stuff and how hard it is to interpate.
art deflo, you said that fire in the bible is used to represent death.... where did you get this from? im asking becuase when i meditate i always get told, 'dont play with fire' and dont know what it means,.... what was fire in the bible? if you'd be so kind to tell me\1!!
well basicly there was a Trash dump in acient israle called Gehnna and then they bruned all the trash. The bible says the dead are conscious of nothing and makes refrance to fire as a destoryer. ex And they were thrown to the lake of fire And fire fell form heavan you see for a "interpritaion" of the bible to be right ALL of the bible must fit together nicely.
yes it is.If you look at it cousely the bible says God will raise everyone who every died and then juge the non christains on there heart conddtion while the Christains Go to paaradise. The evil will be killed a second time with the devil.
