Alright so I've always been interested in being a vegetarian... and Ive always had alot of respect for those of you guys who stand up for what you think is right. So heres your chance... you get to try and convince me in joining you on your road to "saving the animals" lol.
Well say i know nothing as it is... which is pretty close to the truth..
Give me facts, ideas, perceptions, stories, etc. and w/e.

This should be exciting for most of you:)
If you succeed then you'll have increased the animal saving by double what you are already at haha.

Tommy if you need convincing, you are not evolved enough to start on this road.

But when you do have meat, be grateful for the creature who lived a rather dismal life and endured sloppy slaughter techniques so that you could indulge your desires.

Be grateful to the slaughtehouse workers who don't get paid enoough given the danger of their jobs and the bad medical care, if any they recieve when harmed, the truckers who are going bankrupt delivering meat from increasingly centralized production plants (and four corporations), the farmers who are paid less and less for their work because most meat production is in the hands of four price-setting corporations, the damage to water and soil from dispoal of such concentrated wastes from chickens, pigs, and cattle.

Ethics of our "rights" as humans to eat animals aside, the practice is as far removed from Yankee self-sufficiency as anything except gasoline.

Im sorry if i offended anybody... but i didnt think the hostility was necessary.

I liked this part dreamer... "Then imagine the room filled with 45 to 50 people with empty bowls in front of them. For the 'feed cost' of your steak, each of their bowls could be filled with a full cup of cooked cereal grains." I just got back from a poverty trip where we saw some pretty extreme stuff. Maybe i was ignorant to not have realized that angle of the situation... nevertheless it was the case.
