my ex has a major drinking problem, when she decides to come home shes usually drunk, and i wont let her hold our son, that starts a big fight where she knocks shit over and throse things , which is what happened tonight , i know all of you are saying leave but how can i leave my son in that enviroment????? and i dont want to be a part time dad, my heart feels like its just died, my son is my world. should i go to her parents and ask for help with her maybe they can talk to her?, should i just take my son and leave town and hide? what what?????? help me please with good advice, becuse i cant even think strait right now.

Of course you shouldn't leave your son in that environment, take him, maybe you shouldn't hide out, you should probably leave and let her know that you'll get her a few days to straighten herself out and see how things work then. I don't know your situation so I don;t know if talking to her parents will help but I'd say it's worth a try. I"m very sorry you and your son must be subjected to this, as I am sorry your wife is subjecting herself to this, I do hope she gets better so things will work out for your family but if not I think it'd be better for you and your son to leave her until she does work herself out on her own, though that could take a very long time. Good luck to you!
