We're not antagonizing him, hey, it's true, the last thing he'd like to be is a Jesus Freak. I' m sure he'd agree.

I do not expect you to believe anything you do not desire to. My belief is not based upon that which I am told, or because I am some helpless victim of brainwashing. I have both seen and experienced that which defy Psychology, Medicine and Science. That is why I have faith.

    Faith-
The belief in something with no supporting evidence (or in the face of contradictory evidence). Considered to be a miracle in itself. Proof of the unknown/unknowable (i.e. if you have faith in something, it must therefore be true).
Faith is often considered a virtue - if a person has strong faith he/she is somehow a better person for it. The more outlandish the belief, the stronger the faith, and the better the person is. If you can sincerely believe in something that is demonstrably false, illogical, self-contradictory or just ridiculous, you must be a very holy person indeed. Or a kook, depending on who you're trying to convince. But, hey, anyone who believes anyone one else is "holy" must be a kook.

Common usage : "It doesn't matter what you say, I have faith and so you're simply wrong." Na na na na na, neener neener neener ....

I am a kook with straight A's in Psychology :)

My professors are licensed psychologists and authors who are highly renowned in the field. Apparently, they must be unintelligent fools for passing me...

Academics do not equal intelligence. Nor does country living = foolhardy.

Some of the craziest kooks in history have been near-genius level.

Don't rely to much on your paper, sometimes SMART PEOPLE believe WEIRD SHIT for UNSMART REASONS.

I, too, have a degree in Psychology (minor) and Philosophy (major), not too mention a decade or more of religious training...so what?

In the eyes of? Who holds the power to decipher between what is normal and what is not? Those whom lack academic intelligence, often make up with common sense. Those whom excel in academics, often lack street smarts. As I have stated before, it only proves the imperfection of humanity.

    Define normal...

I said nothing of "normal". Normal is just a median.

I have common sense and academic achievements. Big deal.

Kook beliefs doesn't mean "stupid", necessarily. Just "kooky".

I look both ways before crossing the street
I read documents thoroughly before signing on the dotted line
I am aware of cause and effect

all of these things are common sense...

I would not call faith lack of common sense. I would call faith going against the norm of what the world wishes you to believe.

I am, "kooky", in more ways than one and you better believe it!
