This will give them a better reason...but the oil that they get will take 10 years to get on the market, it will not lower gas prices, and theres only enuff left for, like, ten months

wellllll i dont think it would spoil "all" of alaskas buety. i always have trouble with that word !!! but it will certainly impact a lot of wild life habitat. and the estimets ive heard would not supply us with about 2yrs of oil! so what would be the point exept to make some bigwigs a few mill. each! while destroying a pristine willderness disrupting the migration of the caribue and fucking with the native pepoles food supply? is it realy the oil they want or the power to do just as they please! and to further implement the agenda of the board of indian affairs and continue to break every treaty that has ever been singnd with the natives of this continent!!! just an old quote you will know them by their fruits!!!

I think people should stop uing oil, it only pollutes the environment, and we don't need it anyway, Solar/Wind power!

Why be dependent upon foreign oil, when we can drill more of our own?

Gas prices are high, because supply is artificially restricted. Just produce MORE.

Most people apparently don't want to drive less, and people in India and China are getting cars, so the obvious answer is to PRODUCE MORE.

Of course, drill in Alaska, or should we wait for the price-gouging oil corporations monopoly gasoline lines again?

THe drilling is the least of the problem. Extending a pipeline and cutting roads is the larger problem (much like the Roan Plateau)

better MPG and flexible fueling potions for cars produced, discouraging sprawl and lessening dependence upon driving can all reduce the western world's hunger for petroleum fuels.

but keep ANWR a wildlife reserve.
